Okay guys here is the update from grand casino in switzerland. I m typing from my android so bear with me. I ll try to make this readable and simple.

I got busted in the bounty tournament. I ve q 9 suited while villain has q 8 has caught 2 pair on river. Ouchh.

Here is something from the cash game 5 5. Villain has been betting the flop a lot and limp calling the raise. I ve a feeling he is betting on any pair bottom mid or top pair. And he has caught me bluffing with a busted flush draw. So my image would be lag or a donky fish. Lol. He sit just on my left so kinda hard for me to ve position on him.

I ve around 900. While he has around 750.

I was dealt 8 8 on hijack position raise it to 35. There are a lot of limpers thats why i raise it 7 bb and the table likes to protect the blinds. He calls and goes fold fold fold.

Flop Ad 8d 4s pot is around 90

I check.he bets 100. I think for abit and call. Dont like to reraise here as this guy is capable of 2nd barrel bluff.

Turn is 4c

I check again.he bets 200. I think for about 30 seconds and look at him and moves all in. He thinks for five sec and fold.

Maybe i should just c-c?? Let him bluff the river??he might have a flush draw or a weak ace. Kinda hate myself from moving all in on turn. He has been targeting me after he caught me bluffing busted flush draw. Any thought guys??

I agree with dadonk.

The line you take makes your hand read insanely strong. You'd be much better with either leading the flop or flatting the turn...

Also when you describe your play: "thinking before calling", and "I think for about 30 seconds and look at him and move all in." I can't help but think you are hollywooding and giving off a ton of information for free.

Two very basic tells that would line up with what you describe in your acting job to read as strength.

1. When a player takes time before acting he is generally trying to figure out how to get value for his made hand. A bluff for the most part happens much faster.

2. Bluffers tend to avoid eye contact. Unless they are a typical strong means weak bully.

In general I recommend to avoid acting jobs in poker, especially when you have the nuts.

I check the flop cause i m 90 percent sures he ll bet the flop. I think i should c c until turns and make a donk bet on the river maybe like 50 maybe he ll jam the river.

Or

I should bet the flop and check the turn

LOL agree with this so much.

This is basically the same as shrugging your shoulders and saying whatever when you have aces.

Flop play comes down to your history. I you had done some non-cbetting in the past then its ok to use the Ace as a scare card and check/call the Flop. If you 'almost always' cbet, then it does look strong to c/c the Flop. 'Knowing' that he is going to bet is fine as well ... but I still think it's more about you than him here on the Flop. Nothing wrong with hiding the strenght of your hand for one street OOP.

On the Turn the check/call is going to look fairly strong so I would probably opt for the min-raise here. He has around 415 behind? So you need to give him decent odds to continue the hand since you are smashing all but 2 holdings (AA/44).

Although I do tend to see most shoves as a bit more bluffy/drawing than most players ... what message are you sending him here? Are you drawing to a flush into a now more scary paired board? Probably not ... Your message here is either 'go-away' or 'pay dearly to continue'. Not much incentive to put chips into the pot even at 2.5 to 1.

As I said, I like the min raise since you are going to lead the River anyway (unless an Ace hits) so get the chips into the pot now when he still has some hope to improve his hand or may put the rest in on his own accord. GL
