holdemdreamer 0
for the past couple months iv noticed if i play a lot in a day, ill have dreams about poker. now im sure this happens to most of you whether it be poker, another game or sport, sex, or anything else. But the thing aout the dreams about poker are a little different than the other dreams based on other subjects. i dont just have the dreams about being at the final table at the WSOP, but its im in a cash game i had the J of diamonds and the 4 of spades and the boards is...suits and everything is rememberred. I will think very critically about the hand and every time... every single time... i wake up before the river lol. But iv been thinking lately it seems to be a good thing because its almost as if im playing and "learning" in my sleep. idk to me it seems to be a good thingAnyone ever experience something similiar? wdogg40 0
My poker dreams involve me having the nuts and then when I turn over my cards I lose because the cards changed. So they're more like nightmares.

nhlfan 0
When I was in college, I worked for an architect, and I worked at home. My first summer we were SUPER busy and I was working like 16-18 a day, so I would basically get up, get on my computer, then go back to sleep. So I would dream of the project I was working on, it sucked big time. You'd think that since I think about sex all day, I'd have some kick a$$ dreams, but I don't :-)Peace

ShaneO19 0
I have a lot of poker dreams too. Most of them seem to be nightmares though. I can't remember how many times I have been beaten by five of a kind. I usually lose in the dreams so when I first wake up I feel like I just lost a lot of money. The dreams are sometimes really vivid.
Big Jono 0
Funny this post should come up cos just the other day I kinda had a poker dream.I was running a small business with Hachem and Raymer and we were in the office one day when they started arguing, it got pretty heated and Hachem launched at Raymer and hit him in the chest. Raymer being the fatty that he is has a heart attack and dies. Hachem decides we should leave and come back and pretend we found him like that. So we go cruising in his car and come back but Raymer has changed into my dog that recently was put down, and turns out my dog is still alive (yay) so we take her to the vet and it turns out shes jst eaten too much and was feeling ill. Then I woke up.

HermanKahn 0
Dreams are just your mind's way of sorting through events of the day. The more you think about your game, the more detailed your dreams about it are going to be. I have hand analysis dreams like that all the time... one night I even had a dream I played a hand-- and had a big discussion about exactly how I played it with Annie Duke, who was agruing with me and pointing sh*t out. So not only did I dream up a specific hand and articulate my reasons for playing it as I did, I dreamed up what a specific pro would say to me in response, and the specific reasons I'd use to argue with them! Why my subconscious picked Annie Duke to be my coach I'll never know. Damn, next time I want Barry Greenstein LOL
Highlow16 0
I used to have dreams very similar to this where i would wake up right before the river. I also remember doing math in my head like "I have 9 outs giving me these odds...." Also i would just have cards randomly flash in front of my eyes. I dont think it happens as much anymore, or maybe im just used to being a degenerate.
Potsie P 0
Don't have poker dreams from playing too much (which I do sometimes), but when I was a kid I used to dream about placing tiles in just the right way from playing too much Tetris.Sad thing was, I wasn't sleeping. It was like a screen overlay on my vision while I was awake. Horrific and sad.
mase_gotsem 0
from my years as a dream consaultant this is just your way of dealing with online river riggaments so instead of facing them like a man you tend to avoid them to never get that feeling of being 1 2 or 3 outted so basicly your scared to lose . note * this post was complete nonsense and a waste of my 5 minutes .. yes it took me 5 minutes to write this
ObeyTheDog 0
I've had the dream where you have the nuts get all your chips in and then your cards change. That stings.

I'd dream Tetris, too. It was probably an alien technology re-mapping (reprogramming) our brains. I'm not sure why the aliens want us to be able to do these tasks -- a critical intergalactic shortage of warehouseman maybe?

It's actually fairly common in highly intuitive/intelligent children and also in adults who don't block the experience because they think it's weird. IOW, it's really a good thing. (Great. He'd be in a room with an opponent, another guy in the next room with the board and pieces, making the moves as they called them out. Now, me, I got out of the car at Home Depot the other day, thinking about what I needed to buy, and walked away without closing the door. Not didn't lock it, didn't close it.
