  1. This year the Cards are looking at one of if not the easiest season they have ever had. If they don't have a winning season this year I might start looking to move out of AZ.
  2. I found this. Hope it helps. The Armenian Church
  3. I didn't raise cuz I wanted the others to think I was still looking for the flush.
  4. Sorry about that.If a forum mod can move it that would be great. Didnt mean to break the rules.Maybe we can look at this as poor raise strategy by the other players.

  6. You are correct in the fact that the Armenians were the first to collect the writings. Constantine had them compile a "condensed" version. It all went downhill from there.Actually there are cases that we do have accounted for in the mistakes. One I find interesting is the phrase, "thou shall not suffer a witch to live." This one was a joining of 2 different phrases. "Thou shall not suffer against a witch and live" and "thou shall not suffer a child stealer to live". In the middle ages, witches were believed to steal children. hence the combination of the 2 phrases. If they were kept seperate, w
  7. What part of what is said was theory? You don't think we have better reference materials then they did in the early 1600's? We do. I am willing to state that as fact. Was the church corrupt in the 1600's. Yes it was. That is a fact.I never said they were trying to lie to anyone. You stated "before that it was kept under lock and key by Catholic order" Do you really think the Catholics of the time gave them everything? You really think they didn't hold anything back? C'mon. Be realistic.Do I think God would allow an incorrect version to be out there. Yes. I think God leaves us to screw up and the
  8. Please don't get me wrong. I think they did the best they could with what they had. I just think with the resources available in todays world, we have more access to records and a better understanding of history. That way we would be able to do a better job then they did. It has nothing to do with effort or intensions. They were doing what they were hired to do. Considering the corruption of the church at that time, yes i do think they would put a spin on something. It makes sense because they thought, as many do today, that they were acting "for the better good" of society. They never thought
  9. I do believe in God and that God watches over us. I do not believe he interfers though. I feel that he leaves us to make our own mistakes and learn from them. Much like a parent to a child. If we get in over our heads then I feel he would give us a way out. It is our free will to take that way out.Blind faith is in my opinion foolish. One must look at the choices in life that have been given to them and make our decisions from what we feel is the best option. Sometimes we screw up. Thats the way it is. But hopefully we get it right more than wrong. There are way too many contradictions in the f
  10. What I see as the real problems with the bible are 2 main things.Emperor Constantine had a group of scholars and priests compile a list of books of teachings that THEY thought would be appropriate for the culture of that time and put them into one book. Thus creating a religon that they could promote to the general public. This list ended up only using about 1/3-1/4 of the teachings used at that time. For example, there were over 400 psalms originally. Were are the rest? Why did they not put them in there as well? Popular belief is that the writings that were not entered would have altered the
  11. I hate to bring up such an old topic but I have to agree stopping is NOT an option on the road up Oak Creek Canyon. Even when dry people screw up driving on it.
  12. Religon is something practiced, Faith is felt inside you.Personally I don't think any religon solely has it right.People need to find what they feel is the path for them. There is no book, scroll, tablet or anything that can define it for them. It must be done within yourself.Dont get me wrong. If 90%+ religons in the world are based on love, they cant all be wrong. I am just saying, I dont think ANY of them have EVERYTHING right.Steve
  13. Yes I think you played it wrong. At least after the flop.In micro games, I tend to run across alot of foolish(for lack of a better word) players who bet heavily on suited low and medium cards. That said, everything you did up to the flop was correct. When 875 came up and SB did such a large raise then the limper called, I would figure one or the other either has the straight or is drawing for it.With KK in my hand I would need K and pair the board to beat that.I would have to say fold after the raise on the flop.Steve
