  1. If you look hard enough in the right places you can find just about anything. Typically the harder you have to look the less reliable the information is... This statement shows your ignorance for the FDA drug approval process. I cannot quote you an exact number but on average it costs several hundred million dollars for a drug to go from an idea to being prescribed by a physician. If pharmaceutical companies weren't backing these studies then the vast majority of drugs simply wouldn't exist. Yes, some drugs are taken off the market and it's going to continue to happen. No system is perfec
  2. You have to consider the source of any information you get. I think the TACA ultimately has good intentions, but you have to remember that like all interest groups, they're trying to promote a cause. Throwing around numbers and citing poor research without giving the complete story is irresponsible. First of all, saying that children are getting 40+ different vaccines is misleading. In the US, the CDC recommends that all children get vaccinated against 13 different diseases: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, diptheria, pertussis, hep B, meningitis, influenza, pneumonia, polio, Hib, and te
  3. I love how so many people latch onto an issue like global warming and remain ignorant to much more imminent threats to our planet like volatile regimes developing nuclear technology.
  4. Standard. Another blog entry where Daniel tries to play the role of humanitarian and only succeeds in illustrating his superficial comprehension of a situation.Daniel obviously doesn't even understand the point of the show. The point is not to find the person with the most talent. If it was then they would have chosen a format where professional opinion dictated outcome. You're an idiot if you think that is the reason for the show. The point of the show is that Americans can pick who they want. The people involved with the show aren't as concerned with the most talented person being pick
  5. Lee Jones told the WSOP chairman about PokerStars tremendous success when the gave every one 4x the starting stack in the Sunday Million and at the same time made every blind level 4x what it originally was. After realizing how wonderfully pointless such a change is, the powers that be decided to follow suit making this yet another example of how PokerStars leads the industry with their inovative ideas.
  6. FullTilt has a booth at the Rio throughout the WSOP. Just go to it and once they verify your information the lamers are yours to do whatever you please.
  7. FullTilt started running their WSOP Bracelet Race Satellites. These satellites pay out $2K packages. $1.5K in WSOP Lamers and $500 in cash. Since the money is in the form of lamers you can use them to buy into any event or satellite, not just the the $1,500 events. This is a great way for smaller stakes players to get in on the action even if they don't have the money to invest in trying to win a ME seat. The FullTilt website doesn't have the information up yet, but it should be up soon. Right now the schedule is: -$24+$2 or $69+$6 every night at 21:30 EST. (Usually NLHE, sometimes HORSE, O8,
  8. Give me a break. You weren't hesitant about anything. The entire basis of your statement is to paint the right in a bad light. Get off your moral high horse.
  9. I finally watched the movie "King Kong" last night. It's horrible! Did you see the way they treated that poor ape! When I watched the film I was angry at times. It upsets me that this scientific information has been ignored by society for so long, and little has been done to address the number one threat to our existence. No, it's not terrorists, not even close. There isn't a scientist in the world that could honestly dispute the fact that the most likely cause of "the end" will be animal abuse. There is no better barometer of a society than how it treats its animals. What does it say abo
  10. OMG! Global Cooling! This past January parts of the Midwest and East coast of the US posted new records for the lowest temperatures ever recorded. The end is obviously near. We're all going to die in 50 years!
  11. Is this a joke? The overwhelming majority of people don't live in an area where tuna, salt, cereal, fruits, meats, or pretty much anything else available in a supermarket is grown, processed, packaged, etc. within a 100 km radius. I'm a big proponent of buying local goods when available, but the reality is that for the average consumer many of the items they use are not. The point of having a supermarket is that you can go to ONE (we're trying to reduce emissions right?) convenient location and buy all the items you may need. I'm not even going to comment on the commercial implications of
  12. Daniel,If you're really that concerned about gobal warming why are you selling your cars? It might clear your conscious but you wouldn't be doing anything to help what you perceive to be a problem. If you were truly passionate about the issue the proper thing to do is have the cars destroyed. DUCY?
