I finally watched the movie "King Kong" last night. It's horrible! Did you see the way they treated that poor ape! When I watched the film I was angry at times. It upsets me that this scientific information has been ignored by society for so long, and little has been done to address the number one threat to our existence. No, it's not terrorists, not even close. There isn't a scientist in the world that could honestly dispute the fact that the most likely cause of "the end" will be animal abuse. There is no better barometer of a society than how it treats its animals. What does it say about a society that allows testing of shampoo on rabbits? What if it gets in their little bunny eyes?!?!?!I'm not an expert on it (I'm obviously qualified to talk about it after watching a movie though), but it seems pretty obvious that there is nothing more important in our world today than finding ways to stop people from putting lipstick on some poor caged chimpanzee. There was a funny quote from the movie, I forget who is was attributed to that said,"Why, you're crazy. Besides that, he's on a cliff where a whole army couldn't get at him." If this doesn't typify the US government and that good ol' boy from Texas, I don't know what does. Leave things to the US government and how do they want to solve it? Start a war of course! This is more than a political issue, it's a moral issue. What good is a fruitful economy if that in turn means that it destroys the Earth as we know it? In the movie, Jack Black also explains that we shouldn't be alarmed because the chains Kong is in are made of chrome steel. I guess he does have a point. Someone had to make those chains. The steel probably came from Pittsburgh. I mean it is helping the economy, right? Lies! That's just more deceit that conservatives want to cram down your throat!Anyway, as I said the film had a profound effect on me and I wanted to do something about it. I'm an idiot with a computer, so the first thing I wanted to do is share this with anyone who hasn't seen the movie. To possibly encourage anyone who reads this to think about what they could do to help.I'm planning on taking major steps in my surroundings to help me a part of the solution instead of the problem. The first thing I'm going to do is save my **** every time I go to the bathroom. I don't think there is a more appropriate way for me to stand up for all the caged primates than hurl feces at those that imprison them. I'm also refusing to use soap or shampoo. Of course not all bath products are tested on animals, but some are. Maybe if I boycott the entire industry though people will notice. I also encourage everyone with a wife/girlfriend/sister/daughter to take their lipstick or other cosmetics and write "Rot in hell chimp killer!" on their bathroom mirror. Now, I realize that not everybody can do that, but I'm not asking you to. I'm telling you to! That's what I feel compelled to do and I'm lucky enough to have the resources to do it. If you don't feel the same way you obviously lack morals. There are other ways to be a part of the solution...
