want to share with you my 2 hours ago situation in live tournament ( its not about bad beat)) )i was in MP3 with a ~30k (blinds 500/1000). QQ raised to 2500 folded to SM, he calls, BB fold. FLOP: 6d7c10ci watched how he checked. It was like Tom Hanks or Robert De Niro acting for Oscar. He checked so upset, and shaked his head like "omg, how can I play with my card and this flop". now its the crucial moment, I was so excited about my over pair and bet. he reraised I moved allin and he calls. set of 10.I cant forgive myself how i missed that so obvios tell. this is second situation when i missed it. once a guy act like this when he flop a trips on a K3K flop.when I will start to read this?p.s. retorical question

You can never tell sometimes if they are acting for you or not. The big issue here is how fast did you shove? If it was an insta-shove, then you need to pace yourself more and train yourself to evealuate the situation. Along with any set, the 89 could have been out there and possibly a combo gut-shot/flush draw to deal with. You were at barely over 20BB after your Flop bet ... How big was it? How much did he have behind? ... If you are dealing with a big stack, then you might have been dealing with a draw here, but a raise by a similar or shorter stack is a pretty good indicator that you are behind or he has a lot of 'friends' in the deck compared to only 2 cards that will improve your hand ... you cant even go runner-runner striaght here (flush?).You can't really check this board as there are so many cards that can improve your opponent (or just scare you) ... so you just have to decide what this player is capable of doing and whether or not the tournament situation warrants a call or shove to the raise. Your opponent should have known how short you were and that more than likely a shove was coming if he raised you and you had decent holdings ... He was correct in raising you even with top set since he doesn't want you to see a Turn on 'your' terms after you have led out. Just a cooler of a hand ... These are the hands that propel you to final table or send you packing ... Just take a breath before you re-act to a players action, unless you have the nuts of course!!

Most of the time a player acts like he doesnt like the flop and then he bets or shoves, it means he has a huge hand.
