I agree no credit is due and the hatred is all good. I told my wife if I ever see the president on the street she would have to bail me out of jail because I would beat the crap out of him

You are in a better position because of the past.

Next time just ask mactavish does he drink and drive anymore Or shanahan about how about someone ex wife

True, but Mactavish doesn't get to take credit for Devan's success, nor does Shanahan for Kessel's. And I will continue to be bitter because it's sports and I don't have to be forgiving and understand

Bruins with zero shots in the 2nd period vs Ottawa.

This isn't directly related to the Niskanen incident, but his comment inspired it.   Everybody who injures someone claims they had "no intent to injure," But like, if you're running someone who does

Boy reading that stuff from @slavamalamud is good. Pretty much hit it on the head

I assume this thread is what you're talking about

Yes what he said is what I have been telling the cousins in D.C. I told them you can have your ovy but you will never win with him

The cousins are huge nba fans but would rather watch NHL playoff game than a NBA playoff game. They are also heartbroken on the loss

When did NHL jerseys become so friggen expensive?

It's my annual I-want-a-Kessel-jersey thing, but not particularly interested in dropping $300 for it on NHL.com.

Replica I am assuming. Why not just go to National Sports

Amazing. Thanks.

What would a white/road XL Kessel run me? Roughly.

For a replica at national sports when there is a sale $130 cdn. That is what I paid for Otto when he got a Matthews and a Marner jersey

I haven't read all of the caps hot takes, but... it's hard to win a cup, they lost a 7 game series to the defending champs and second best team in the league arguably. And they are still probably going to be a top 3-5 team in the league next year. I don't know what everyone is panicking about.

I was thinking about this today as I listened to HockeyCentral. It was like someone had died.

I figured it out, though.

"It's hockey. It's hard and there's a lot of luck involved" doesn't fill an hour or draw in the listeners who crave the hot takery.

I want nothing more than for Marc-Andre Fleury to lead the Pens to a Cup this year. I don't want him to falter and give Murray a shot at it.

There's no way he's back next year and it would just be such a storybook ending. Lose your starting job en route to the Cup last year, grind it out as a backup this season, smiling all along, get a shot because of a game 1 warm up injury and take it all the way to the Cup? My goodness. Could be a Hollywood movie.

Half way there. Murray is apparently healthy now. How will this play out?

Either way, Fleury's play has helped the Pens for more than just this season. Gotta think he's upped his trade value as well.

my ranking of the 4 remaining teams based on how happy I will be if they win the cup:

1. Nashville

2. Pittsburgh

3. Anaheim

1,000,000 times yes. Nothing against Matt Murray, But there is no better guy or team player than fleury. Dealt with the trade rumours all year with a smile, except for the time he almost cried at the thought of leaving his team. Dealt w being a backup with class while still believing he's a starter. For christs sakes, the guy was so sure he was gone, that he had what he thought would be his last pens mask painted with current and former teammates as an homage. One of the absolute nicest guys you'll ever meet. Class class class. I want him to win the cup, and Even better (sorry Phil) if he wins the conn smythe doing it.

you guys made a very convincing argument for why I would want Fleury to win too. Well done, Im on board!

Nashville-Pittsburgh is so the final I want right now. I think it would be great hockey, but also, Subban!!!!!!!!!

Ottawa because I live in friggin Canada and we need a cup.

Pittsburgh breaks my rule about recent cup winners, but I also live in Sid country so it's hard not to root for.

Nashville because its such a non-market and Subban!

Anaheim because I'll never forgive them for no longer being the mighty ducks
