I'm definitely coming and might be bringing a friend along. Looking at staying at the Wyndham Hotel since she stayed there last week for the Ducks game and loved it, 20 min walk from the arena with tons of bars on the way. Will definitely be there for the 1st round on Friday and the first few rounds on Saturday, not sure if we'd be heading back Saturday or staying two nights and heading out Sunday morning.

I'm guessing the Wyndam at the point right downtown? That's where Zach stayed when he was here for the parade, but it was a Hilton then.

I couldn't say for sure, but probably.

Has there been any discussion on ticket availability for the draft, or what the whole scenario will be for getting into the building that weekend?

When I made this thread, I looked and found nothing. I haven't looked since then.

That hotel kinda sucked, but it was like $50, and yeah, downtown, and even sorta walking distance to the south side, if you weren't lazy.

Zach is right about pretty much everything.

Downtown is kinda a ghost town in the evenings, fwiw. Don't count on staying there to get shmammered all the time, you'll probably wanna cab it to Carson St.

I don't know what the price comparisons are, but I would go with the Holiday Inn in the South Side, if it's close. Some bars downtown aren't bad at night, but the South Side is a lot better. It's also just as close, if not closer, to CEC.It's not a big deal either way, we'll make shit happen! :club:

I looked for ticketing information but couldn't find anything yet. I'm going to lunch with a few guys that have season tickets so I'm going to ask if they've heard anything about first dibs. I might not be back on FCP until Monday though so this is my reminder. :club:

My buddies that have season tickets said they've gotten nothing about them.

Well, hopefully it won't be too big of a deal. The only thing I was able to find as far as an official release said that ticket information will be available at a later date.

I highly doubt I will have trouble getting tickets for us. I know people. :club:

Just heard back from my realtor...my purchase offer on the house has been approved by the seller's bank (short-sale) and I'm looking at closing right around June 28th. Which is great news, except it means this trip unfortunately isn't going to be happening for me this year...there will be too much packing and moving and signing and money getting thrown around for me to go out of town.Sorry Tim! I know I said I was a definite but the timing is not going to work for me.

Sorry you can't make the trip but congrats! I'm in the same situation except my offer is still in the banks hands. I've only been waiting a week though so far.How long did the bank make you wait?

Thanks!Almost a full six weeks...my purchase contract was signed by the seller on April 6th and it took until today for their bank to come back and say "yeah, okay". Hang in there...it's a long process.

Will do. Thankfully I'm in no rush or else I would have never pursued this place. As it stands now we have a deal for 20k less than the Zestimate. (if you have been looking at houses enough you'll likely know what that is)Hopefully the bank doesn't think it's too low of an offer though. Next week I'm filling out a mortgage app in order to lock in the interest rate, It's a bit of a gamble as the app is only good for 60 days and there's a pretty substantial fee that I could lose if the bank rejects the offer. Still the bigger gamble would be to assume the interest rate won't go up between now and the time that bank approves the deal. (hopefully)

What fee are you paying? A bank/broker should be willing to do an application and hold a rate for you (often only for 30 days) with no fee. Is this an American thing?Congrats to Adam and good luck to Dev!
Long signatures are really annoying.
