  1. I was in a tourney a while ago, and in this particular hand there was two way action. I was out of the hand, but really interested in the the action. On the turn it went check press. The press guy's arterie in his neck was throbbing. Otherwise he was mustard. The check guy went into the tank, and then folded. I said, "I could feel your heartbeat across the table."Press guy nodded and said "yeah" and flipped over a pair of duces. He was definitely sweating a call. During the break the cat seated next to me told me, "You won't feel my heartbeat. I play the same way all the time."It didn't benifi
  2. I see where your going with this... So you cant beat easy players, but you think it'd be better to play more established players. At the same time, and this principle carries over to other individual competitions, a novice can make for (if not more difficult) more frustrating competition than a player with a moderate amount of experiance. By that I mean there should be a reasonable amount of predictablility with someone who has been involved in poker (or whatever). How many times are you truely surprised at a poker table? How often is it from someone who doesnt have a grasp of basic principles
  3. Is he gonna complete the series with Count Chocula?
  4. No, and I'd guess that's what he was going for. Maybe this is more of a tourney mentality, but If your gonna make a stand anywhere you may as well do it with a quality hand against a cat who's been pressing you. Grinder, your avatar is disturbing.
  5. If he makes the correct read he wins a gang of jack.I did gloss over qq, but if you ended up with qt or 9t I'd feel like it was an oddity. To me the hand was interesting because in my mind I doubt he had a flush anyway, especialy since he said he did.
  6. Doubt he thought you had q 10, but I do think the hand is interesting because he was pretty non-commital in 2200 dollar river pot. At wich point your getting almost 3-1, I mean how small could his flush have been. Maybe trips are more likely than a baby. Why not press harder on the either the flop or turn.
  7. I buy this, but to be honest I think it makes a difference wether or not that Ace was of spades. If it was, Then I can can see suited paint raising, or checking the flop. Definitely takin a free card, or (this is better) calling a 3/4rs bet.
  8. That was pretty sick! That was one tough mofo Gracie had a fully foured head (not even a triangle), and the guy was still fighting. Kinda like the way a mouse fights a python. This is a long time gone now, but I'm really pissed that the fight was called with less than 30 seconds left. Gracie was getting rocked, but I don't think he was discouraged. Originally I argued that the new rules (rounds, limited time, no guy) would be the only obstacle for Gracie to overcome. I do think that every second that Gracie is in the ring is one that could potentially spell victory for him.Ultimately Gracie did
  9. A year ago, I went on a 200bb spiral over the course of a week, and in one session lost 90bb's...I quit poker for 4 months. Shrug, "take all the change outta your right pocket, and put it in your left pocket". Cheech
  10. It shouldn't require it but I give you someone elses opinion.http://www.thepokerforum.com/behaviorrules.htmAre you really backing up this dudes conduct?
  11. I guess... if by normal you mean against the rules. When you call the floor they'll do watever they feel like, but in all reality that dude should be ejectid from the game.
  12. No way. You can't expose your hand during play. Nor can you even say what your hand is, or was while there is still action going. You can say you have aces if you have ak or kings. I guess if he's your friend then whatever, but in all reality he can't do that, and I'd call the floor on that.
  13. I think he cited his sources just fine.I wasn't in the hand at the time, but I think I've specifically used a tell to my advantage ONCE, and I've played live alot. I don't remember the board, but there was something about the action that didn't work for me when I looked at the board. I was sitting in the 6 seat, and the action players were at 10 and 3. It came down to the river, and the 10 seat guy made a significant bet. The other guy went into the tank. I watched each of them for the, I dunno, 20 seconds or so it took for the guy to fold. While I observed them I noticed a distinctive pulse i
  14. I don't mind seeing with some suited or not connectors, or paint with a couple callers before me. If that's what your asking. With a couple of callers it acts as protection and it reduce the chance of a reraise witch is bad unless you have a hand.
  15. Course, noone ever even hinted at folding. As you can see he pressed. I think the question was between press, or call.
