Ok, pretty simple.1st place wins only. Do you feel more confident playing a 6 man onceor the ability to play a 10 man twice?

As in... was there any? :club: Nah, just wonderin what thought process made you ask... I assume you're looking at ROI on SnG's and primarily looking at first place money? and trying to determine whether it's more profitable to play 6 man or 10 man tournies? But other than that not really sure why you'd eliminate the other payouts from the SnG's... otherwise I could be way off and I'm bracin myself for your flame. :D I voted for 6 man

Assuming winning twice is twice as good as winning once...1/10 + 1/10 > 1/6Even if it isn't...1 - 9/10 * 9/10 > 19/100

I think we all pretty much understand this.Lets say its 1 chance in a 5 man, or 2 in a 10 man.do you then switch to the 1 chance at 5 man?

Assuming we have an edge, 10-seat SNG. They last longer and give us a better chance to exploit our edge and accumulate a large stack and win.

Oooh I like this answer too!...I was thinking 6 man because you have to survive against a fewer number so it's easier, i.e. Win one pot and you're through to the final three... but I also like this argument... so I change my answer to I don't know...

Given my style I'd say the 10 Man.I"m better at maximizing my big hands and playing patiently than I am at lagging it up and stealing pots.4 Man and I'd switch camps*******in reality the 6 Man players are worse it seems, so I play those.Or perhaps its easier to read them, would be more accurate

I just wanted to mention that your odds of winning at least one of two ten man tourneys is not 1/10 + 1/10 (by this logic your odds of winning one of at least 11 such tourneys would be 11/10, ie greater than 1, which of course means something is wrong) since these are not independent events, but is rather 1 - (9/10)^2 = 0.19. That is all. And for what it is worth, I do like having two shots to win.

Yes, but Royal said above the prize for winning the second tournament was the same as the first, so by that logic the EV of the tournaments is 1/10+1/10=1/5. And actually they are independent events.
