After 1800 hands, 40 table hours, I'm running at 55BB/100 (NL).I need more than 1800 hands to be sure but is it safe to say I'm a winner?

short answer: nowhat limits are you playing? i'd say come back after 8000-10,000 hands...1800 hands is really one long day or two short days of work online.

OMG...totally a winner and u can easily sustain this BB/100!TP/MM...your easily on your way!
If everyone plays by the same math rules we all lose to the rake.
If your a 70pct favorite to beat someone in general, why take an allin with them at 66/34 ? your giving them the edge.

that's relative. you have to figure that out on your own.example: there's this kid who comes around who's only played a few times but has convinced himself he is god's gift to poker. everyone here disagrees when he says that he's a winner and everyone else is a loser. he's convinced himself so what do we know?

i hate those people, it seems like a bunch of my friends are like this when they think they are poker gods. They always seem to lose and then at the next game they say how they are up overall

You start to see some convergence to your "natural" win-rate at about 10k hands. It's not super accurate though. That is completely unsustainable. I'd even venture to say that if you knew what your opponents held at all times, it's not sustainable.

Why is this a bad thing? These are the types of people that will keep coming back. If someone sucks but knows they suck, then they'll either work on getting better or stop playing.

10k hands is still no where near meaningful. To the OP though, unless you're terrible and sucking out all over the place you can probably assume you're a winning player already.
