It's just a matter of taking off your foul-mouthed, beer swilling fanatical hat for a moment and putting on your decent human hat.

as a jaded blue jays fan, my arguments for signing Bautista for whatever he is asking:   1. If they don't spend it on Bautista, it won't get "Better spent elsewhere" on other players. This is the bl

Here's a good example how the Jays current run can establish life long fans throughout the county.   My nephew who is 11 years old lives in Montreal and only cared about hockey last few years. Love

Every ball hit hard in the first. Stroman has had some bad starts and I'm afraid a team really concentrating on scouting him will see something. We should be able to knock the crap out of their pitchers today and tomorrow so let's roll!

Also, another great move by Gibbons with today's lineup. Would've liked to see carrera or pillar hitting last maybe it that's extremely minor. Top 3 is great, and you guys wanting Goins hitting leadoff are nuts. Imagine him getting more atbats than Donaldson!

So there are teams that don't concentrate on scouting the opposing pitcher?

I hate it when you make me state the obvious instead of just making your point!

But yes, teams probably scout a little more in-depth against a playoff opponent with several days of prep than against an in-season opponent.

For this game alone, we were better off against a hurting Bauer. A bullpen game is very strong since relievers are harder to score against in general, and definitely when they have a couple amazing ones who can go 2+. Overall it helps, since it'll tire them out and force kluber to go early, and they'll have to make decisions going forward knowing Bauer may not be available which could handicap them.

Like serge said...gotta win this game though or it's all moot (probably). Going 1/22 with 2 outs and RISP tells you everything. It's a stat that is so critical and pretty much 100% luck.

Feel bad for Bauer, he is a likeable dude and it must be killing him to not be able to go especially when the injury was some dumb shit.

I doubt it. I would imagine these teams know just about everything there is to know about players.

Strongly disagree with this. Having a couple advanced scouts and some analytics guys doing their day-to-day is very different from your entire scouting department spending several days on only a few guys, both in terms of what they might learn and how much attention the players will actually pay to them lol

Lead off triple...if they don't bring him in I'm driving to Toronto to run over Bautista on his scooter.

Not quite a hr. But goins more Rbis then Top of lineup.
