Gov's got it right > This is about your FAVORITE movies, which could actually be crap, so I think anything is fair game to be included. I'd hate to have to rank them, though...Here are a few of my favorites:Blade RunnerMidnight CowboySunset Boulevard (almost anything by Billy Wilder would be suitable...guy was a genius)Network Star Wars Ep. !V LOTR (the whole thing)28 Days LaterChildren of MenEternal SunshineOut of SightThe Limey CasablancaSome Like it HotMaltese FalconTo Kill a MockingbirdNorth by NorthwestWest Side StoryTaxi DriverM*A*S*HThe ExorcistThe French Connection (best car chase ever that used only one car...)Most recent addition is Inception...

Most of this list is just run off the top of my head. I VAGUELY ranked them but I'm so certain there are about a dozen or so movies that I'm missing that should be in this list and others excluded. I like doing this and will certainly continue to revise my list over time.1 Shawhsank Redemption2 The Lord of the Rings3 Saving Private Ryan4 28 Days Later5 Heat6 Ben-Hur7 12 Angry Men8 Black Hawk Down9 Mad Max 2 Road Warrior10 Bridge over River Kwai11 Rear Window12 28 Weeks Later13 Aliens14 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly15 Good Will Hunting16 Old School17 Gladiator18 The Great Escape19 The Goonies20 Matrix21 The Birds22 Casino23 Braveheart24 The Dark Knight25 The Thing26 Jurassic Park27 Rounders28 Gran Torino29 The Great Outdoors30 There Will Be Blood 31 The Departed32 The Rock33 Into the Wild34 Face/Off35 The Bourne Identity36 Inception37 Silence of the Lambs38 Animal House39 Twelve Monkeys40 The Rescuers41 40 Year Old Virgin42 The Thin Red Line43 The Weatherman44 The Mist45 When a Stranger Calls (1979)46 The Hurtlocker47 Maverick48 The Hangover49 Escape from Alcatraz50 Ocean's Eleven

He, no, seriously, I ****ing loved it. I haven't even seen it in HD yet, so I'm waiting 'til I have an HD TV to see it again. On the topic of 12 Angry Men, did you know they were going to make a sequel called 12 Angrier Women Who Made Dinner Which Got Cold for Those 12 Angry Men Who Never Showed Up Because They Couldn't Agree on a Verdict?

Good list, these ones would all make my top 100 if I did one, apart from #31....there's absolutely no excuse for me leaving The Departed out of my Top 50, I love that movie. Probably Top 25 for me, not sure where it would slot in.

I need to rewatch Out of Sight. Really liked it the first time I saw it. The Cinematography was outstanding.

I can't help but to watch it anytime it is ever on. I am a horror fan junky and love almost anything Roth does. At least I left Red Planet off the list. I have probably watched that about 40 times since I own it! lol

I'm the same way with Roadhouse but it didn't make my list. Not a favorite movie by any means but I simply cannot goddamn help but watch it every time TNT or Spike decides to run it AGAIN. At least 50 viewings by now...I need an intervention.

I mean, I like it mind you, drifting is obviously bad ass. but it's not quite in my top 50. Maybe if Vin has a more prominent role, other than a brief cameo, it would have made the list.
