Rounders & other poker / gambling themed movies

I havent seen too much on this forum regarding Rounders....... the current ultimate poker movie...what are your favorite scenes, lines etc....?or any other good poker / gambling movies? Like owning mahony, Casino, among others....

i actually didnt like the movie. it made it appear that the fundamentals of good poker are the ability to read tells.

I liked the Movie.. one of my favourites was right after Matt Damon's girl left him.. edward Norton says " In the poker game of life, broads are the rake"and of course there's the famous : Johnny Chan: "did you have it" Matt Damon: "sorry John, I don't remember"

I think Rounders is an entertaining movie. Although I agree with doublesuited. After watching that movie, or talking to people who don't play but want to learn after watching rounders, or the card playing segment of lock stock and two smoking barrels, think that poker players are just able to spot "tells" in other players that completely give away there hand. Such as the scene when Matt Damon tells everyone what there holding. I constantly meet people who find out I play poker and swear they know a guy who can tell me EXACTLY what i'm holding, just like matt damon.

Has anyone seen Owning Mahony? Its kinda an old movie but its actually pretty good. Its about the life of this gambler. If you liked rounders i really suggest you rent it.

Owning Mahoney is a true story, btw. I don't think it's more than a few years old, though. It is set in the 80s in a very realistic fashion. Actually someone I went to school with did all the design for that film. I am currently writing - or trying to write - a great poker film. I don't want to give too much away.
