rrumsey 0
am i wrong for thinking he could be deciding to try and turn his hand into a bluff here or was this min raise for pure value every time.Poker Stars $4.00+$0.40 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t10/t20 Blinds - 9 players - View hand 852874The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History ConverterUTG+2: t1440 72 BBsHero (MP1): t2589 129.45 BBsMP2: t1887 94.35 BBsCO: t1250 62.50 BBsBTN: t354 17.70 BBsSB: t1410 70.50 BBsBB: t1283 64.15 BBsUTG: t1817 90.85 BBsUTG+1: t1470 73.50 BBsPre Flop: (t30) Hero is MP1 with 4 A 3 folds, Hero raises to t60, 1 fold, CO calls t60, 3 foldsFlop: (t150) 5 A 2 (2 players)Hero checks, CO checksTurn: (t150) 9 (2 players)Hero bets t77, CO calls t77River: (t304) K (2 players)Hero bets t133, CO raises to t266, Hero calls t133I figured with the call on the turn and the K on the river it was pretty hard for him to have too many hands. i knew nothing about villain. would check calling this river be better long term? Mercury69 3
Pure value imo, but with a board that missed all flush and almost all str8 draws, it's going to be a call for you, even with such a weak kicker
babylondonks 5
also him minraising the river isn't gonna be a bluff too often

Hands like A 4o play awful. You are only hoping to hit your ace, and even if you do, what are you supposed to do when faced with aggression? Call off witha 4 kicker? If you are going to fold with a pair of aces, then there is really no point in playing it in the first place, especiallyat such an early stage in the sit n go.I actually don't mind checking this flop. Chances are he hasn't hit anything. There are really no draws at alland chances are if you are ahead now, you will still be on the turn. If he has an ace, that is your punishment for playingA4 out of position. I bet more on the turn, something like 100-125 would do fine. also him minraising the river isn't gonna be a bluff too often^thisI think I am still calling though. As played, it looks like you have garbage. Not too many hands that can beat you besidesK9 or a set.
SuperJon 175
K9 or a set. That's pretty much one of the hands in villain's possible range that sticks out to me the most.Based on the fact that his stack is 1250 at the 10/20 level, he's probably been limp calling a lot. Take hero's check on the flop into consideration, and I could see villain peeling one off on the turn with K9. The biggest thing in the hand for me though is preflop, such an easy fold with A4o, especially with no antes. Even with antes, I'm too much of a nit to open A4o.

When you both checked the flop and you lead out on the turn, it is very possiblethat he thinks you missed the flop and were just trying to take the pot right there. So he would certainlybe willing to call off a small bet with second pair. He obviously is not min-raising here with just a 9 unless he is suicidal.
HighwayStar 8
This is a pretty fugly river spot. Pretty hard to bluffcatch and not too much value in a bet. As played he can't have much for value (K9+lolslowplays) but nontheless he probably always has it.Preflop is a very easy fold.
