Yeah this is defintely a shove. If I did the math right, your M is 6, which for some people is shove if its opened to them...After 3 limpers, there is definitely no other raise you can make that would make sense

Button has just the right sized stack to consider a min-raise here. You may drag in the an extra 1600 or 3200 from the first two limpers, button is almost guranteed to push, and then you can reraise all in since hes made a full raise.

I did shove, but I had someone tell me I lost value here. I disagree obv, this has to be a shove.EDIT: And obv my M is an instant shove, and I know no other raise makes sense. I thought maybe I sucked at poker and didn't see how I lost value.

Eek. If the button is already limping with his little stack, I don't know that I am counting on him to do me this favor. I can see getting calls from one or more of the bigger stacks and a fold/call from the button. Now I'm OOP in a multiway pot and feeling pretty gross.

I dont think you need to be that concerned about having both UTG+1 and CO calling, because there is no question that button should push if he's going to play. That means your min-raise potentially costs them 5000, not 1600, and then risks you coming over the top and wasting it. I agree with OPs friend, a push here loses too much value.

You're suggesting that the button WILL actually push if you minraise. He could very well smooth call a minraise behind the other limpers. I make room for this possibility because he LIMPED OTB WITH AN M OF ~2.5!!!! This is not a good player, and you really can't count on him to do something logical.I think shoving is losing a little value, but what other option is there? You'd have to raise quite a bit to weed out the two big/bigger stacks in the hand, effectively committing yourself to the hand. What happens when they all smooth call your minraise and the flop comes A 10 7? Obviously we can't be afraid of such things in the long-run, but avoiding these situations when you can is important IMO.Shove... Picking up this pot uncontested is the best case scenario here, unless a big stack limped w/ 22-1010 and calls... then THAT's our best case scenario.
