I just think I played this poorly. I don't usually min-raise the turn.

Ehhh, I'm not a big fan of playing 8 10 in EP here, but OK.......

Flop, OK

Turn, I can see raising here because you turned a lucky charm. If he calls, I would have to put him on some kind of AJ, KJ, KQ, worse case for you J10 or a set.

River, If he only had a J, which could be very possible here, you just got counterfeited. The way I read the hand before seeing the results I would have guessed AJ, KJ. I would have just checked here, maybe called if he put a small value bet here, but I wouldn't feel good about it. My opinion is that is the risk you take when playing these types of starting hands. Sometimes they are just hard to let go of when you think you turned your trash into treasure.

Maybe raising more on the turn here may have helped, but if he calls and any paint hits, or a 9 rolls off on the river, then what? You would have to consider C/Fold, but maybe the better play is to keep getting aggressive, but is he really folding his top 2 here?

Again, Really need King James or SuperJon to help out here. I'm no pro, but just providing my thoughts since no one else does here anymore.

After thinking about this some more, I used Equilab (RIP Pokerstove?) and if I did it right, here is the numbers:

Board: 8:diamond:J:heart:4:spade: T:club:

Equity Win Tie

MP3 74.19% 74.19% 0.00% { Th8h }

CO 25.81% 25.81% 0.00% { TT+, 88, 44, ATs+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, ATo+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo }

Board: 8:diamond:J:heart:4:spade: T:club: 4:club:

Equity Win Tie

MP3 52.17% 52.17% 0.00% { Th8h }

CO 47.83% 47.83% 0.00% { TT+, 88, 44, ATs+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, ATo+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo }

So, looks like the play wasn't so terrible after all. Even on the river your still a flip here, so raising the turn more I guess still would been a +EV move here. Still would like more thoughts on this tho...
