[color:#666666]8 folds[/color], SB completes, Hero checks.Flop: ($1) 7:diamond:, A:heart:, 3:spade: [color:#0000FF](2 players)[/color][color:#CC3333]SB bets $0.5[/color], Hero calls $1.50.Turn: ($6) 4:club: [color:#0000FF](2 players)[/color][color:#CC3333]SB bets $3[/color], Hero calls $3.River: ($12) Q:club: [color:#0000FF](2 players)[/color][color:#CC3333]SB bets $7.5[/color], Hero calls $7.50.Final Pot: $27In this situation I felt right from the flop that I had this guy beat, as based on his prior play there was no way he held an ace, and I thought a pocket pair was extremely unlikely.... the way he was betting represented to me that he had nothing.... especially him coming over the top of my initial raise... that said, this pot got much too large for my tastes, considering I was holding 72o.... but the only card that at all worried me was the queen, as I thought he might have been holding Q/2 or Q5/6... what's the best way to get this to a showdown without expanding the pot? Re-raise the turn to calm his wild betting down? Just to clarify - this post is askinghow to calm his betting down, not whether I should have called those giant raises, as this hand was played 90% on my read of the guy.
