  1. At risk of flaming...Tim Horton's coffee isn't exactly world class but it is definitely better than Dunkin Donuts and way better than Krispy Kreme. The donuts are also better than most donuts going except the place that used to be at Lexington and 86th St. in New York.Tim Horton's is insanely popular in Canada. I say insanely because I honestly cannot figure out why. But people get together at "Timmies", go every morning -- there are usually lineups of people and cars that seem ridiculous except you won't admit that because you are standing in said line.So for this Canadian working in New York
  2. Actually, you're right. The personal attacks were a bit pathetic. I apologize. It was the idea I was responding to. Furthermore, it's just my opinion so you should hardly take it personally.STILLAlthough I found Fischerandom 'interesting', I didn't think it represented chess. It's a different game. And I still don't understand licensing it. Though that could be my ignorance. Is poker, euchre, gin, bridge, etc. licensed? That, itself, could get it killed. People complain enough about a rake, imagine the very idea being raked before the rake. Finally, another point that I've heard. If you make thi
  3. Just making a game less likely to have 50/50 flips, etc., does not make it better. Let's look at the extremes.Royal Hold'em had just 20 cards. You always had a great hand. There simply weren't that many hands out there. It's either a straight or a full house, almost. Not very exciting. The opposite is California Hold'em. Why not have 738 cards? Now it's unlikely you hold two good cards. So I'll just go all-in. You will likely fold because now just about any draw is death to your stack. So it becomes Crapshoot Hold'em.Also, nice try "licensing" it. I can't even come up with a term to represent h
  4. Interesting. When B checked the flop I would have wanted information. Do you have the King or don't you? Are you trying to trap? Because if you are then you're about to be disappointed. So I would have bet the flop. If folded then, damn, didn't have anything. If not then Woohoo! Call and wait for more bets down the line. Apparently it's not a set of Kings because the bet was only called at the beginning.Perhaps I play more aggressively but I like the idea of fishing for information. Especially since it seems we have no information on this person, e.g., they or we are new to the table or somethi
  5. I'm having some trouble here. If the site is 'rigged' against 'the player' then it is 'rigged' against every player which means it is 'rigged' against no one.Other casino games have a casino edge that can be increased but poker is players against players. The site gets the rake no matter who wins or loses. Perhaps making it a 'close call', e.g. Aces vs. Kings, would ensure max rake but it would still wash in the long run. And keep in mind this is a "long run" situation to make the stats stick. 26 hands does not accurately reflect your "luck". By they way, that tagline about luck being exciteme
  6. It looks like it is sensitive to an IP address and someone else had already done this. :-)So I have my promotion! Woohoo!! Thanks, powerplayer.
  7. I just tried it and it says "Transaction Declined - Chip code has already been used!" but I haven't used it and there is no deposit in my account. So I can only conclude that the offer has ended.Good luck to those who made it! :-) -Duck
