Friend of mine has a comp for a free room at the Circus Circus hotel/casino in Vegas. So there's 3 of us heading out tomorrow to play some cards. I've been to Vegas 3 times in the past year and I've grown accustomed to playing 1-2NL at the MGM poker room, which is personally my favorite card room, but never been to Circus Circus. So anyways, anyone here know how the poker room is at the Circus Circus? What kind of NL games do they hold there as well as tournaments if any? I'm sure that place isn't known for it's poker room but it'd be convenient to stick around that casino since my friends don't play poker as much and I'll be driving (which means I'm the transportation). Well, if anything I don't see much of a problem driving down the street to the MGM but if anyone knows about the Circus Circus poker room any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have fun at C/C, but I don't think there is poker there.

the loosest, most passive poker game i have ever played in was there. im talking about value bet top pair mid kicker into three players kind of loose passive. i stayed there for a week and i found myself playing there most of the time. lot of fun.

About 15 years ago, I got a deal on a room at CC and it seemed like it was the worst location in vegas and it's a dump. But if you have a car, no big deal.

Driving in Vegas?...I'd rather have a Car in Manhattan. The combination of my drinking, other drivers drinking, traffic (especially @ peak times), inconvenient parking, slow Valet service (especially @ peak times), and basic lack of need for a vehicle (cabs, walking, staying at one or two properties) makes a vehicle a non-necessity.

I played my first hand of poker in Vegas at CC. 3/6 LHEgood timesThe midget/short person that works the floor on 3rd shift trained the bear(Bruno?) in Gentle Ben and was a stand in for Rance Howard(?). He worked as a stand in for quite a few Hollywood kid actors around that time. He also worked as a clown with Barnum & Bailey Circus. There are a lot of old carny folk working there which kind of makes sense.

i was just there and i liked it. 3-6 was running most of the time. usually just 1 table, during the day i saw 2 running.location isn't really that bad. 15 minute walk to the wynn. slots-a-fun right next door for some ultra low limit action table games. 15 minute bus ride to flamingo$11 prime rib was decent at the cafe.safe.

Just use CC to sleep. Play poker elsewhere. It is in a bad spot but The Wynn and Venetian are only about a miles walk away.

Wrong. Please don't walk anywhere from CC. Very necessary if you actually want to play at some decent rooms.

I wouldn't walk to save my life, but I would just hop on the Deuce (public bus), it runs every 5 mins during the normal hours (like 5am to midnight, less frequent at other times, but still sick), it costs $5 for a 24 hour pass, and the run heading South from the North end is actually not nearly as busy as the North line. Take the bus down to Bellagio, Caesars, etc.I think a car in Vegas (on the strip) would be annoying as ****, but the traffic in my small town drives me mental.

Uhhh, I HATE the deuce. Granted, I jumped on it somewhere around the middle of the strip to get back to the sweet 4 Queens where I was staying (Got a rediculous deal I couldn't pass up to stay there) and it took over an hour to get there! Ride it only if, A. you're in no hurry or, B. you enjoy a slooooow ride to your destination.

Pick your times more wisely. It can be long, but if you avoid the peak hours, it's pretty fast.

ive never been there, but if u do choose to play there i would imagine the only thing good about it would be if u lost a bunch of money playin 2/4 limit that u could go feed some monkeys....but i would play at the venetian/wynn if u wanna play 1/2 or 1/3
