You know he's gone right? You're talking to air. He could dish it out but ran when people stopped pussy footing around him and fired back.

Yeah, just caught up to that part. Oh well, funny how it's right-wingers who complain about safe spaces and being snowflakes and are no different themselves.

I was going to let this slide, but I just watched the video in question again and I just can't.   You watched a black man almost moved to tears as he passionately talked about an election and a coun

Most of you know that I am a fiscal conservative. If you didn't, you know now. I didn't vote for Trump and Im pretty sure I wouldn't have voted for Bernie Sanders. Would have looked for a 3rd candidat

So far my "favourite" thing from today (one of the darkest days in modern Western history) is that potential visitors/immigrants will now be tested on their agreement with the Constitution...with a President who thinks torture should be legal. that there's no reason for him to try to avoid conflicts of interest, and religious-based immigration is appropriate.

I thought we talked about how Serge was gone weeks ago?

I really don't see a point on bashing him after he's gone. Yes, he was wrong on a lot of things but can we just let it be.

Hell probably come back at some point and then we can pick up where we left off

Yeah, I was months behind on the thread...posted a couple weeks ago before I'd actually caught up. Certainly no point bashing serge, though I don't think we ever really did that. To me, he is a really useful reminder that not all Trump voters are pepe-loving Nazis, and many might be actual good human beings.

Trump has been almost exactly what we warned Serge about; he is implementing all of the negative parts of the platform and all of the hooks that he got people to vote for him are gone.

As much as I dislike Balloon Guy (and sometimes wonder if he is Trump and Conway's love child the way he parrots administration PR) at least he is getting the candidate he voted for. Serge either secretly wanted this outcome or he lacks basic critical thinking and analytical skills.

always keep in mind that BG is playing a character on the interweb. Don't get me wrong he's a Conservative Republican but he isn't as insane in real life as his posts are.

Bet a lot of this crap doesn't happen if Bannon is ousted. Trump is a puppet. This whole immigration and holocaust state my all have Bannons fingerprints all over it.

Good to see there are federal judges and govenors out there willing to stand up to this bs. We just might survive this tragedy if people keep doing what they are doing. We'll be out there as soon as well I can't say actually. Lol they may be watching.

Do you know BG personally? Because I have a hard time believing that.

I've had a lot of conversations with him in private messages over the years about a lot of different things.

its political analysis of real news. And when you add to that the kicker of many people from countries that have had coups saying 'this is what they do to see where the military will side' before a major coup attempt, it becomes even scarier

That's a pretty incredible article. In part because it could all be nothing, but we'll never know. Half of Trump's administration called for Snowden to be hanged so we'll never get a real leaker, and anyone who wants to can just hide or obfuscate information because accusations of lack of transparency will just be shoo'ed away in an administration who thinks passing ethics checks or government agencies communicating with the public are meaningless bureaucracy.

Is there a list of things to stop fascism?

No idea. My guess would be having a few people in power with backbones but alas we seem to have none of those.

So uh where are the best private schools in Canada?

Our public school system is pretty good (though in Ottawa we have 4 school boards - Public / Catholic English/French lol), only private ones off the top of my head are religious based or arts based. Other than the Montessori ones which are quite popular.

If you are worried about your kid falling into the "wrong crowd" (whatever that means) then obviously you need to keep a heads up about buying in the right school catchment area.

But Ottawa is a pretty white collar town so your mileage may vary in Toronto,.

Most of our public schools are very good.

No need for a private school here for most people.

Lethbridge has one of the milder climates in Canada. We are only 40 minutes north of the American border. Last year, My golf season was February 25th-November 15th
