Right now, I'm playing some PL Omaha H/L at Full Tilt. (I prefer fixed, but this was the only game available.) One person at the table that I've taken a few big pots from is suggesting that we move to a NL table (an oddity I've only seen at Full Tilt). She then singled me out, asking if I was scared to play NL. My reply: "Omaha doesn't really work NL. It's too much of a drawing game." My response: "ROFL"I continue: "This is the only site I've seen even offer NL."Reply: "Because it (Full Tilt) rules"Anyway, that was the end of it, but am I completely offbase here? I thought this was similar to how you can't play Stud games NL, simply because of the nature of the game.

Actually, making it no limit would make it much easier to play because you could charge someone much more than just 2-1 to draw to a hand. Of course, variance would be worse, but I think the game itself would be easier. Kind of like how NL hold'em is easier than PL (I suppose this is debatable, but for me it isn't even close).

I've read several posts on this site that basically argue no limit omaha high low is a stupid idea. I have to disagree, I built up my bankroll at the extreme micro-limit level playing 10/25 cent no limit omaha high low, it is a wonderful game to extract a lot of profit. The reason for this is because you can punish your opponents nut low to a great degree by having him quartered, meaning ofcourse that you have the nut low and the nut high. These situations are amazing. Also, you can push your edge on the flop when you have something like a nut flush draw, nut low draw, with two cards to come, you have a good pot equity against the set you are probably up against. Sure, a lot of times you are drawing to the nuts, and it would seem that no limit omaha high low is somewhat absurd, but when you recognize the power of your draws, and the situations in which you are quartering people, it is a gold mine. On the other hand, it can be devastating because you may be quartered yourself paying off somebody, or you may have top set, but actually are the underdog and end up incorrectlyputting all your money in, but, from my experience at the micro limit level, it is a nice way to build up your bankroll.Sidenote: I wish i knew about the four color deck thing during my times at omaha high low on pokerstars. I use it now for holdem, and I don't see how i ever played 5 tables omaha high low no limit without using it..
