I just called preflop because I didn't see the button doing this with to many hands and I wanted to see a flop first since we are so deep. The flop was about as safe as it gets.... yea im pushing, hoping he flips over AK and reloading when its actually AA
You have the right idea, but for the wrong reasons.
More likely TT-QQ.
Yup. You played the hand so weak preflop that he's going to re-raise your check raise a with a lot of hands. You might even include 88 or 99 here. I push, but the real problem is your play preflop I think. You should put in a third raise almost all the time. It could cost you a lot of money in the long run if you let the original raiser in that cheaply. Plus you have absolutely no idea where you're at when the flop comes. Hence the thread. Make it at least $20 preflop and see what happens. Either way I doubt you're getting away if he has aces. Just be properly bankrolled.

Gotcha. I'm not having a great night either. I've been thinking of beating off, but I just can't find the right porno to suit me this evening. Know what I mean? So I keep getting like five or ten minutes into one, before I get bored and find the next. What I really need to find is that perfect jerk-it movie to get me off. See what I'm sayin? Maybe I'll check the gay section. Nothing wrong with keeping an open mind. Ok, good talk. See you out there.

re-raise preflop
See this I think is kind of silly, what is going to happen if we rereraise preflop? If he has AA he is going to push, and he might just play his TT-QQ for set value and fold. I normally would agree with you but I think this pot is going to be heads up anyway why announce my hand by putting in another raise.I honestly wanted to fold sooo bad after he put in the $69 but I pushed because I suck at poker. I think all the discussion is done he did have AA and I failed to suck out. I was on the verge of booking a winning day before this hand... heres hoping for next week. One day I hope to be as good at hitting two outers as Naismith.

I dont know if you ever seen any of my "fold KK preflop" threads, but I'm a strong supporter of the idea. Its not the end of the world, especially in cash games. You might see AA KK multiple times in 1 session.I re-raise preflop and if he can actually shovel at that point, i have to put him on AA, KK. If its deep stacks, and he has me covered, I'll let it go.Maybe he has kk, or QQ, and I'll likely get flamed here for folding kings, but i've done it, and will continue to keep the possibilty of folding them in certain situations.

results orientated thinking is -EV.I love how you played the hand at every street. Sucks he had Aa though.

Villain turns up with QQ or JJ here often enough to offset the number of times he has AA. He never puts you on KK here, like ever, so he can play AA, KK or QQ the same way IMO. You played the hand very well.

the way it played out here, it seems like it could be AA - 99.so if we're cool with believing that now, why wouldnt we have raised preflop?

To get more money out of 99-QQ postflop instead of only getting money from AA, KK, sometimes QQ, sometimes JJ, etc. It's not standard, but it's a good mix-up play.I also love the way OP played this hand.

Yes, but how often can we depend on absolute rags hitting the flop?once that flop hits, its a standard play, no questions asked.. there isnt anything tricky here, excet the fact that we're taking a slight risk by just smooth calling and going 3 way to the flop (we should assume, but UTG did fold, but i wit UTG to act behind, we would think he would call the 4.25
