  1. I would have called. Here is why: On the turn, Daniel called a pot sized bet. I dont think Daniel would call with a flush draw. The pot odds just arent there. Even if he had 8-6 clubs or 6-5 clubs, the pot odds still arent there. For that reason, I dont think Daniel has the flush. U could argue that the implied odds justify a call but I still have my doubts. As for part 1 of the question, 6-5d or 6-5c? I say 6-5d because with 6-5c, he would have reraised on the flop. 6-5c is a favorite over any hand except a set. So I would have come over the top on the flop. I could b wrong but th
  2. speaking of books, does Daniel have any plans to write a book of his own? It would probably b a huge seller.
  3. the bracelet race is heating up. Chan gets his 10th and then about a week later Doyle gets his 10th too. And u KNOW Hellmuth will be mad being left in 3rd.
  4. EXTREMELY underrated. He is a great player but for some reason no one ever mentions him as one of the best players in the game. He makes my top 10 easily.
  5. long story short, a guy raised in 2nd position. I was shortstacked so I moved all in with A-Q. The guy called with 2-4! WTF?! Did he think I was makin a move with 2-3?! That was the only hand he could beat heads up. and it wasnt like he was comitted. The blinds were 100/200 and he came in for 600 and I went in for about 2400. Of course the flop came 3-A-5 and he beat me with a straight.
  6. yeah but the amazing thing is that Greg Raymer has a decent chance to repeat! Hes the chip leader right now with almost 1.5 mil.
  7. Omg, did u copy and paste that from cardplayer.com? Word for word it is exactly the same. Better hope they dont bust u for plagiarism.
  8. I dont wanna bore u guys but I just cant hold this in. It was the first hand of a large tournament at pokerstars. I picked up red Qs on the button. YEA! 3 guys limped in ( the starting blinds were 10/20 and we started with 1500). I raised it up to 1oo to narrow down the field and the BB and 1 limper called. The flop came Js-3s-2c. note the two spades. There was 350 in the pot and the BB came out betting 200. The limper called and I had 1400 left. Im order to knock out flush draws I raised all in ( any less would have given someone with a flush draw pot odds to outdraw me). the BB c
  9. sorry for nitpicking, but u should have reraised b4 the flop.
  10. Yeah I just watched it on ESPN. The board was Q-9-x-Q and Ivey went all in with 9-9 and was called by moneymakers A-Q. The A fell on the river and Ivey was out. If hed won that hand, he probably wouldve been the favorite at that point. He wouldve been the chip leader and imo the best player of the remaining 10.
  11. The reason Annie Duke has been labeled the "best female poker player" is because IMO she is second only to Jennifer Harman who hasnt been healthy during the recent poker explosion that has produced all this hype about players. So the boneheads at ESPN need to attract female viewers so they overhype Annie Duke. Also David Williams gets alot of hype cuz hes only 24. To have gotten 2nd at the largest tournament in history (until this year's main event) and finish 2nd at the WPT Borgata open all b4 the age of 25 is pretty inpressive. And Phil Hellmuth has also been overhyped by ESPN cuz hes a
  12. Yeah but I think he was kidding, we should ask him.
  13. Valente, how can u fault Daniel for making the RIGHT play? He knew what his opponent had and he made the correct play based on the information. U dont win tournaments by folding 60% edges. Better spot? Ud b hardpressed to find a better spot then that. By the way how well did u do in that tournament?
  14. yeah, Phil is a great player. Daniel forgot to mention that he finshed 10th, just off the final table, in 2003. With that size field (800+), thats an impressive accomplishment especially when u consider that the hand he went broke with was impossible to get away from. I think he had a full house and got outdrawn when someone else made a bigger boat on the river. I think it was Farha. Check my info, Im not completely sure.
  15. I just figured it out. The 4/25 tourney at the bellagio is the WPT championship, I think and the one at San Juan is the shooting star. And Im wondering how much he makes a year in the side games.
