He said he would sell a maximum of 5%.5%=$1250Obviously he did not need $1250 to put towards his buy-in or he would not be playing in such a big event. If he can come up with $22,500 he can afford the rest.If he won the event he would have had to pay out over $200,000 to his investors. Makes no sense to me.

im still not sold that many of these people that get these big online scores are winners when it comes to the live game, which, by the way, is real poker.

This was addressed in the original thread. He did it because it was a considerate and fun way to give members of this forum some extra vested interest in the tournament and foster a sense of community around here.

I am not risking $200,000 to let some strangers be a part of anything!!! Giving any investor winnings to charity would have different. Just my opinion.

What can you do with 3.9 million that you can't do with 3.7?

He didn't get his 27/6 by mistake, he got it because he likes to use the call button.

After pissing though it's like 33% wash, 33% rinse, and 33% nothing. Sometimes I'll wash like three times in a row to balance my range though.

I hope he does more for the WSOP. If he made it real deep, it would have been crazy with the updates. Or, just for shits and giggles.

He did it for tax reasons. $3.9 mil would put him in the next tax bracket and cost him a lot more in taxes. $3.7 mil wouldn't.
