they did not have debit cards in the mid 80's

edit: yes I googled this after I posted it and yes I saw that debit cards were invented in 1966 and started to gain traction in the 80's but I don't care. tilt is a lying faggot. it was 1996 and that's the truth.

You listen to Run the Jewel at all? I haven't, but the new record is getting some decent pub. Not really baby listening music, so I've yet to dig in, but I like what I've heard.
I'd lend a hand, but it's stuck in the fist and gun position.

I've listened to it at least 10x today no exaggeration. was like Christmas morning checking Twitter this morning and seeing they released it early. I even had an event setup on my work calendar for Monday as RTJ2 day.

Shit goes hard. I flipped off like 5 cars for minor errors on my 10 minute drive home it got me so amped.

I can't think of a 2014 rap album I've enjoyed more. The new Logic "under pressure" album is really good. Sort of like a mix between Childish Gambino and Kendrick Lamar. Migo's No Label 2 is a good listen. Jeezy's new album. Ab-Soul. G-Eazy. I'm really excited for Nicki's new album. Schoolboy Q. Mastermind was ok. I enjoyed Gambinos mixtape he just dropped. Big Sean's 4 song EP was surprisingly decent. Kindofa meh year.

A link from that same page, Ford to spend 5b on reviving the Lincoln brand.
I think this is a good move. Those Gen 1 Lincoln Town Cars were the nuts. Rode like a ****ing cloud, horrible gas mileage and outwardly insulting to the poor, just like an American luxury car should be.
The real play there is going to be China, though, since certain American car lines are a luxury import there and we have no money here to be buying luxury cars anymore.

I feel like I should be doing something but nothing sounds appealing. Might just go to bed.

Yeah but I get almost anxiety from it. Not fun. Right now I'm sitting in the dark listening to RTJ2 with the baseball game on mute.

my company made mention of a statistic similar to that today--bemoaning that 'millenials' switch jobs once every two years. it may be that we all just have an attitude or commitment problem... or perhaps we have seen/experienced the shitty cost:benefit to being loyal.

Open bars usually don't have good stuff, so either Crown and Coke or Capn and Coke if they have it.

I paid last night--got Hendricks, tonic and cucumber. IM IN LA AND ITS IN THE 80s AT 7:00.

Tonight I successfully found the paid for happy hour--regular bar, just a vendor picking up the check. Two delightful Manhattans.

so my company frequently touts how it's a "performance based organization" so they hate to hear things about how annual "performance increases" tend to not keep pace with inflation over the average. part of what got me my raise this year was explaining how staying with them for more than 3 years becomes a -ev situation and I didn't really feel like paying them for the privilege of working there. that and laying out side by side comparisons showing how it would take >3 years for me to make as much as external hire (assuming he accepted min advertised salary and got min avg pbi with me getting 2x pbi) finally got some traction.

point being. millennials, to their credit, have figured out that culmination of wage stagnation we're currently operating under means there is no reason to stick. the only way to manufacture a reasonable wage is a series of hops with the smallish increases they tend to include.

so now you're hopping makes more sense to me. but i'd still like to see you stay put for a bit strat.
