Skittles 0
Definitely fold. If the BB is a big enough psycho to push here without having you beat (although this is a good card to represent something) you will have his money soon enough.

dbl_j_22 0
I like every street as well. Another line I take sometimes on the flop is taking over the lead in the hand. Usually against mini-raises if I get a piece of the flop, esp top pair, I'll go ahead and lead b/c I won't give someone the lead in a hand for such a weak preflop bet. I don't mind checking either, the standard line oop is usually to check like this and you played every street standard.Unless you have a sick read, river is easy fold, but it sucks since we just made a sweet two pair on the turn.edit: river is a fun check/call --- or raise with read, if we have an aggressive villian. Gonefishin55 0
Bet a little more on the Turn 3.5 or 4. Looks like he made his flush or trip 6s. Check/call the river? I don't think he shoves if you check. If he has a big hand the correct play is a small value bet to try and extract a few more chips from you. He would have been the one making the $4 bet. Maybe $8 if he thinks you are a donk. What do u think his read on you is? He must think you overvalue your hands and would call his bet or you are weak and are easily pushed out of hand? Craigdog 0
As played it all looks standard to me... the only thing I might have done differently is check call the river depending on my read on the villian, the turn call is suspicious. Easy fold though.
Merby 3
Definitely fold. If the BB is a big enough psycho to push here without having you beat (although this is a good card to represent something) you will have his money soon enough.UMM... no.The board reads [J 8 8 6 6]. Hero has J8 for 8's full of jacks. There are two hands that beat the hero:1) Button has the two case jacks2) Button has the two case sixesYou're telling me that it's an easy fold for $42.50 into a pot of $54.50. --The button could easily have 8x for 8's full of 6's. --Or he could *shove* thinking that our hero had a jack (based on flop and turn betting) and would fold to the pressure (because of the double-paired board). He would be right here, except that our hero had the *one* kicker that the button would fear (the 8...) If our hero had *any* other card with his jack, it's suddenly a good play on the button's part and a difficult spot for our hero on the river (even J6 is ugly here).I'm afraid that you're too concerned about "monsters under the bed" here. If the button has one of the two hands that beat us, then too bad, it's a cooler. In any case, beat him into the pot with your call.***EDIT*** LOL: I totally misread the board! I now advocate a fold here. I don't know *how* I read the flop as [J 8 6] as opposed to [J 3 6]... perhaps I have a touch of dyslexia..? Tough spot because an overpair just trumped us, as did any 6... FOLD
