  1. PERFECT Example!!!! Force him to play or let him get bled to death. Big stack = ADVANTAGE.
  2. Thats why I always keep a couple 20's under my chips when playing live at a casino. Most have the rule money on the table plays, so if I find myself short stacked and in a big pot I'm about to win, I'm going to get every penny out of it that I can. I can appreciate your 60 dollar rule though, setting a limit when playing cards for entertainment purposes only keeps it fun and safe. Congrats on your rake!!
  3. A solid win rate would be about 2.5 BB/100 hands...a great win rate is anything over that. Looks like you did about 78 bucks an hour. Well done. Curious...was your calculator broken? hehe
  4. Why would you do this anyways? You'd probably lose your money, get kicked out, maybe the cops might get involved. Word to the wise...if you're underage and want to play cards, stay on the internet.
  5. To those of you who like to look "because it gives you more time" are you playing in live games with time limits? Almost every live game i've played in, you can take a *decent* amount of time to make your decisions. NL of course. Limit, I just look, and my decision is based on my cards, position and action in front of me. Other variables of course, but those are the first three I look at.
  6. But I'm thinking I'd either...1) Bet out. Risky move because you are easily beat by any PP 9's or higher, someone playing the 8 w/ better kicker, and there are a lot of overcards that can come that will probably kick your ass.2) Check/Fold. I'm not in this pot to get TPNK. I was hoping to flop a nice flush draw/str8 draw or made hand. Since I missed both of those, continuing with my hand will probably cost me more money. If you put a diamond, or even a double backdoor str8/flush draw, I might consider chk/calling, or betting out...but I think to continue here, I'd need more than just TPNK
  7. I would observe the newest players, while maintaining my aggression, and find the weakest ones, and aggressively go after thier chips with solid play. That kind of chip lead in a NL game is meant to be used to your advantage, and if you're not taking advantage of all of your opportunities you're foolish. You did a great job it seems. And for some reason, that guy just doesnt like you much...Did you take his bankroll or something = )
  8. You had TPGK and an OESD. You seemed to be a bit short stacked, and that was a damn good flop for you. You put all your money in with a solid hand, and got him to call with a worse one. Nice drag.
  9. That sucked Smash...I thought YHWG, and was probably going to be...unless an overcard fell. Thats kinda what I put him on after your description. Glad you took him down later though...there's always another hand.
  10. What was your screen name again? I say you do a lot more studying, get a lot more practice, and then try again. Next time you're faced with cold calling two bets with KQ offsuit, dont think of it as only a dollar, think of it as TWO BETS. Two bets in a 3/6 game would be 6 bucks. What about at 5/10? Would you put 10 bucks in the pot with KQ off facing a raise, and many players to act behind you? Just scale it up and ask yourself would you put that much money in on that hand. And CC two bets with KQo is not solid play...it loses money over the long run. Since it's a -EV decision, just do
