  1. Thanks for your reply and I'm glad you still think like that. I just worry people's feelings die down after a few weeks have passed after watching things like An Inconvenient Truth. Mind you, all you have to do is look at any respectable news site these days to see the overwhelming evidence. IMO the bbc is possibly the most respected in the world and there are alarming articles regarding this problem pretty much daily. Everytime I read one I am tempted to post a link on some of the threads here but I gave up a while ago on arguing this issue on this forum. I applaud Zeatrix's patience and
  2. Don't blame you for doing this at all but I would still love an answer on a question I posed in another thread regarding your current stance on global warming. I know you don't have to answer by any stretch but it would be much appreciated. You seemed to be really affected by An Inconvenient Truth after watching it and made claims about changing the vehicles you drive, etc. I'd just like to know if you took any action or it the effects of the movie wore off after a few days? Thanks.
  3. Haha, these guys who will blindly stick up for DN no matter what are a piece of work. It's quite sad really the amount of hero worship on this site and I've heard many outsiders talk about it. Cracks me up, DN would probably run a mile if any of you stalkers got to meet him. I'd be scared if I was him. Just go back to stroking your blow up doll of DN there my friend. Or you could get a real life and stop idolising a poker player for God's sake? Oh and FYI I was hardly "crying" over the blog as you say. Merely pointed out his blogs have gone downhill and I have no inclination to read them
  4. I've read DN's blogs for a long time now and recently I've started asking why as my admiration has been dropping. IMO you made yourself look bad in many situations including with Phil Gordon, Hellmuth, American Idol, Global Warming (which incidently I agreed with you on but you seemed to get bored of it after like a day. I'd love to know if you did change your cars, etc?????). This is the worst blog yet though and shows you have very little class. You either like to shove your nose in where it doesn't belong for the sake of it or you just like being outspoken and controversial for the sake
  5. Anyone with an interest in this kind of show should read "Chart Throb" by Ben Elton. It's a British book that takes a satirical look at these kind of "reality" shows. Due to it's comedy roots I'm sure things are exaggerated but it also exposes the likes of Simon Cowell and what they're doing here, which is not finding talent. It's about making money by providing entertainment. One of the funniest things in the book that is blatantly obvious is that in the UK version of Pop Idol (called X Factor) Simon, Sharon Osbourne and Luis Walsh claim to audition 100,000 entrants before eventually leavin
  6. Let's hope our future isn't in the hands of the good American peoplehttp://www.dailymotion.com/visited/search/...upid-with-subti
  7. I don't even know where to start with that post. I'm actually annoyed with myself I got involved in this debate here again. This is my last post on this matter, if some of you people are actually this dumb then go ahead. I'll just hope like hell that there's enough people on the planet with the common sense to make the necessary changes. I hope it feels good to the deniers that the rest of us will make the sacrifices so we can ALL live as we are on this planet. I really loved your last line because that is EXACTLY what I have done! Your post absolutely reeks of hypocrisy. I was going to
  8. It's actually hilarious how people believe what they want to believe. I know plenty of you didn't believe in man made global warming before anyway but it's brilliant the way some will watch a channel 4 documentary that has been exposed in sooooo many ways yet take it as completely factual in every sense. Doesn't matter that Al Gore represents the view of such a massive majority of scientists, at the end of the day he's a Democrat so half of America won't believe him no matter what. Thankfully European leaders are starting to really move on this, all we need now is the Americans, Chinese, Ru
  9. And once you watch that read this pleasehttp://www.monbiot.com/archives/2007/03/13...m-with-science/This was made by channel 4 in the UK and shown last week. For people outside the UK channel 4 is really not known for cutting edge documentaries or such like!
  10. Zeatrix, it's good to read posts like yours in amongst all the absolute rubbish from many of the others. You put all these guys to shame and they're too ignorant to even notice it.This is my last post on this thread because I really can't cope with the stuff people are writing. It makes me even more worried about the current crisis. I guess you guys will need something like Greenland to completely melt or Manhattan to be under water before you believe there's a crisis. I mean the vast majority of scientists telling you along with the many many early signs all over the world aren't enough.
  11. You completely missed my point I reckon. I firmly believe there is a major climate crisis because when the evidence is so overwhelming I just can't ignore it, basically because I'm not retarded. So when I look across this site and see so many retards that are still in denial I thought I'd try and take a different approach by saying lets not care so much whether the crisis is there but about the good that could come about by pulling together. I don't know what made me think people that are stupid enough to deny the crisis might be sensible enough to get my alternative angle. Well now I'm ju
  12. While I'm glad you're in agreement that this climate crisis is real the way you brush off Africa as basically unimportant is pretty bad. It is true that to an extent the world just doesn't care about that continent. I used the middle of Africa as an example because that is a place where people live, or try to, and are feeling the effects of climate change RIGHT NOW. Yes glacier melting would cause a bigger effect in terms of people in the long run and I really hope something is done about that but what about the people suffering now? Are they not important because I'm talking about Africa?
  13. Firstly I want to say well done to DN for discussing the global warming issue, people with influence should use it for good causes IMO. I've been trying my best to make people more aware of the problems the world faces but unfortunately I can't reach the amount of people guys like DN can. Secondly, before I give my opinion on this I want it made clear I'm certainly not anti-American and have many great friends there.Well I have been worried about the climate crisis for a while now and after reading the stuff here I'm now even more worried. It seems that many Americans are completely in denial.
  14. Hi Daniel, I was the one who started the blog and if you look through my posts I always stated that I respected you and liked you. I also felt you would give a good repsonse and I'm happy to say you did. I'm sorry some people have used the thread I started as a way of making personal attacks against you but I'm sure you've heard it all before and it goes with the territory. I just wanted to say thanks for a good response and admitting you were a little bit at fault (with a good excuse I must say). My opinion of you is the same now as it was before your last blog - you seem like a good guy
  15. This hero worship thing is starting to take over here. It's like nobody is allowed an opinion that goes against DN.Surely people are allowed an opinion in the free world and mine is that bragging about not finishing high school and "beating the system" sends the wrong message to kids. Am I not allowed this opinion??Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you disagree with me that's 100% fine with me, just don't tell people they are not allowed an opinion just because it is negative towards someone they clearly respect a LOT! Well I respect DN and like him a lot as well, I just happened
