There was a noon game so the deadline was 11. I put Hossa in my lineup. The TOR/CHI game wasn't until later that night and Hossa ended up not playing. Had we been allowed to remove a player whose game had not yet started and replace him with another player whose game had not yet started I would've won the game. I would've replaced Hossa with Silfverberg (90% chance) or Staal (10% chance) ...Silfverberg got a goal, Staal got a goal and an assist. Link to post Share on other sites

Hey Dale We sign a player at start of season before roster "DEADLINE DAY". After the deadline, but before any games are played he gets wacked by his own team mate. We could argue that he we should be allowed to change since no games have been affected. At roster signing Steelheads forgets to include Stastny as a signed played. After the deadline but before anything else happens, should he be allowed to change? During a Friday January 27th night game, one of our players gets hurt and we are scrambling to trade for a replacement for playoff push. Another team has what we want, and would trade with us, but it is past midnight. Since no games have happened, should we be allowed to trade? Deadlines SUCK!!!!, but since they are equal to everyone, I don't see the problem. From an administrative point, having to check line-ups before every single game's start time would be a nightmare. Poor Dan has been without Stamkos, Malkin, and Anisimov, but you don't hear him complaining (actually I don't think I hear from him in this forum at all anymore). Tell your players to shape up. Secondly, I'm not complaining; I'm bringing up a perfect example of how this rule affects outcomes and in some ways contradicts what the pool is about. Rolo constantly talks about "swackin," (a term for scoring with a girl) while Fran is trying to figure out his niche in life. They have been losers up to this point in their lives but on one day they begin to have different revelations on life. Since you asked I have a developer chained to a desk working on the live scoring module. It won't look like much (design will come later) but we are hoping to have it ready to test for the finals.
