I would call and see a flop. 4-betting is not bad if you know that CO often 3-bets light. Against a tight player I wouldn't do it though.

CO seems pretty decent but has 3 bet some. wish i had pokertracker to have #'s but most of his 3 bets were after min raises if i remember correct. I know im way ahead of Button he is a dumb @ ss so its only CO i have to worry about. I think my implied odds are pretty big here if i hit im getting someones stack. but the problem this hand brought up was that i called and saw flop OOP three low cards and 2 clubs, check folded to cbet. I just hate doing that i guess. But im having trouble figuring out a better way to play it. Def. can't donk bet flop almost blind right? that was my only other option. If i was an A or K unless I hit the nut flush or a Q for a set i was thinking of doing that. idk i was kind of lost

I'm never folding as our hand rates to do well in a multiway pot with its nuttiness...I don't see the point 4-betting either as we're behind KKxx and AAxx...on that flop yes you can safely c/f...you have virtually no equity. Gotta shred that ego and get used to c/fing in PLO

The more I play PLO the more I realize the importance of discipline. It's clearly a game that lends itself to tilting. This goes without saying. The endless stretches of card deadness and of missing flops, and the gross underbelly of variance wherein you cannot win a race. And then the more you lose, the looser you get, and unlike in HE speculative play is often brutally punished. Like you're on a 733 board w/the NFD, 3-way, and you call a small bet knowing that of course you won't overplay your flush when you do hit it, which you do, and naturally you wind up paying off two PSBs to 77. And that puts you on even more tilt, because wtf full tilt stop giving me 2nd best hands, and your range now includes any suited ace, any three broadway, hell any three cards remotely close to one another, and any pair because goddamnit you want to flop sets.I only bring this up because in that hand the flop is (imo) a very easy check/fold. You have a fragile overpair against a possible KK or AA, and your equity is dirt against basically everything. Really the only good news is that both of your queens are clean against non-straights. But you want to call. If there's a textbook check/folding spot it is right there. So maybe you were tilting, or you're running badly, I don't know, but calling there definitely has to be steam-induced. You folded, which is good, but that you're second guessing yourself suggests that you're a bit tilted.I'm not a tilty poker player. In NLHE I tilt hardly ever. But in PLO I find myself tilting a bunch of times per session. Little things, like, open limping w/QQxx at an aggro table full-ring, or playing some trashy suited ace to a raise OOP, or even just making a terrible fold on the flop because well I don't want to be put to a tough decision at any point in my life. And every so often I do something really dumb like shove w/ a set against what I know to be a straight on the flop. I don't really get mad about beats, because playing in the micros I'm just trying to learn the game. So all I care about is getting my money in good. I get tilted due to the carddeadness, like, "there are fish at this table, I need their money - SUITED ACE??? CALL!!" and then it's like, hey dumbass, you're trying to overflush a bunch of 30 bb shortstacks...so yea **** PLO but I wouldn't have it any other way :!

yah and that flop being such an easy fold makes me wonder if i should just try and 4 bet pre and see if i can freeze other overcards on low flops and at least see a free turn. is this a stupid idea?Oh and i know what you mean sometimes plo sucks but when you run good, holy h#ll it is amazing!!!

I'm not qualified to call anything stupid in PLO but...why would you want to 4-bet pre? If he's 3-betting AA/KK** then you're a pretty sizeable underdog. You're not going to freeze AA/KK; it's just going to 5-bet ship. You've got a good hand for a multiway pot imo, as it's got nuttiness (big set, NFD, some straights, and other draws). Sounds like you're focusing too much on the actual flop
