  1. I'm happy for Ben. Big weight loss, and huge getting back to the final table.
  2. Every single post in this thread, including OP, is a joke. Nobody, ever, ever, ever. Has EVER been good enough after a few months to become a pro. Keep your day job, stay in school, and play those $10 buyins until you have $2,000. Then play $20 buyins until you have $4,000. If you can't do that, you have no chance.
  3. Thanks Bob! Just finished it, and call me a sap but it drew a tear or two. Also, no caps needed, GWCGWC, but it definitely has to be one word.
  4. I guess I'm one of the animals then. I like when they interview some of the more obscure, "wacky" players. It kind of invites the everyman to sit down and play.
  5. It's probably been done before, but I like nothing better than watching Phil lose to "idiots". My thoughts, from the get-go: Wear a wife beater Have a mullet Constantly attempt to shuffle your chips, yet fumble them Pretend to wipe your face with a rag, but it's actually olive oil Wait around to look tight, wait for him to raise in late position, then overshove from the button and show J2o Laugh at him at every opportunity ...those are ideas to set him up, that you suck... but then what? I'm thinking DN has a good line with small-ball but for those of us without DN's
  6. I disagree with Daniel here (I mean in the relevant blog entry), and that's very rare. I believe, and think Doyle does too (he did say "ALL the criteria"), that players should be subject to rule #6 as well: "Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results." I don't say that to get rid of anybody, but players who satisfy the first five, PLUS the sixth? Well I think they deserve it more. And IMHO that includes Daniel. ETA: Why do I think rule #6 should apply? ETHICS. Pure and simple
  7. And it would teach them to play every hand and really suck! Genius!
  8. Slow poker news != dredge up nine year old zombie threads. This sucks, please don't do this.
  9. Congrats to Eli though I was rooting for DN all the way. Feed was 10x better after dinner break. Video still rough but at least the audio didn't stutter as much so I didn't miss any more hands.
  10. This wsop.com feed is driving me nuts with pisspoor framerate and constant freezes. They really need to get their crap together. UGH! ETA: I'm not normally one to look a gift horse in the mouth and it's better than nothing, but sheesh this feels like a seizure. if they can't keep up and it stutters this bad they could at least raise the compression a little. I'd be much happier with a more pixelated screen. I think they're going for too high HD and didn't expect the bandwidth usage.
