Babying 613
Thanks right back at ya! TBH I have always admire parents who adopt. My wife and I were looking at that route and than a miracle occur. My oldest daughter came into our lives.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
I always notice how active+involved you three (who have posted in this thread up to now) are with your kids, and it inspires me to 'do more' with my son and try new things. I say this with no exaggeration, you guys inspire me. And I thank you for it.
mrdannyg 274
I also love reading from the fathers in this thread. In many cases, it's because I think I would disagree a fair bit if I was to discuss specific actions or parenting philosophy with some of the fathers, but that every post I read reminds me that it really doesn't matter. Maybe I would or wouldn't teach my kids something or talk to them about something in a certain way, but the point is...we all care, and we all do what we think is best, not what is easiest. Not every kid can or should be raised the same, but they should all be raised with the best interests of the child in mind, and I'm constantly impressed with the way you guys talk about that. I sure as hell care about my kids and work my ass off to help them become good people. And you guys help prove that fathers like us are the rule, not the exception.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
speaking of things I respect but disagree with a lot, Zachs work+his personal philosophy towards transportation. Putting aside how I feel about his views or politics, I just really respect the changes he made in his life the last few years, and how when poker went south, he made the changes necessary in his life to get his sht together. well done Z. (sorry i didnt mean to turn this into a circle jerk thread, I just couldnt help acknowledging some other goods)

Zach6668 513
Arp, you're in jewelry, do you know anything about watch repairs? The crystals on two of my watches are scratched and/or chipped and/or smashed. Not super expensive pieces, but one is a Bulova, the other a Kenneth Cole.
digitalmonkey 929
I just got back from visiting a good friend in palliative care. She's been battling lung cancer for the last few years. The battle is almost over and she's not going to win... All she wanted me to bring her was a small slice of watermelon from a local fruit market here. Not that anyone here needs reminding; or maybe everyone does sometimes; but don't forget to appreciate the little things.

gruven 530
Still stunned that even with 92% of Americans favouring tougher gun controls, 4 almost toothless gun control bills got voted down. Just goes to show you that legal corruption is alive and well.

I played there last year for the NHL awards in 110 degree heat. Wasn't bad actually. Went into the club house after 9 and ran my head under cold water and was a new man. It's a beautiful course

You learn to park in the shade Southern Highlands is tougher, less shade.
Babying 613
Good news I am playing a round of golf tomorrow The bad news my tee time is 6:08 am Not a very good round Shot 95. However there was one bright spot. 500 yard par 5 drove it in 2 to the fringe green. 15 yards away from the hole and I 3 putt. My short game and putting really really sucked. Babying 613
At my daughter softball finals we had a delay when the pitcher called the coach out for an issue. The problem was that she broke a nail
mrdannyg 274
I've seen MLB pitchers come out of the game because of broken or chipped nails or blisters. Can be kind of painful when the seams are ripping through the same spot every time, and effect your grip.
