jcp182000 0
Here's the hand:Hero (btn): Ad 8cSb and bb plus one limper in the cutoff in the pot ahead of me. I raise to $.24 to isolate. The cutoff calls and has a stack of $6.32 and my stack is about $10.The flop is 9c 8s 8d. Cutoff checks, and I bet 2/3 pot. He smooth calls. The turn is a 6d. He leads into me for a pot sized bet. Considering that he limped preflop, I don't put him on 99. So I'm thinking that his most likely holding is 66 or 710 for the straight. Seeing as he might have the straight, I just smooth call with my trips, hoping to improve. Is this advisable here? He ends up having a 910o and the river is a 9. Should I raise the turn to move him off a draw perhaps?
donk4life 34
Why do you want to move somebody off a hand when you're a significant favorite?
rrumsey 0
wait a minute, you had him putting in 2 streets chasing a bad draw on a super scary wet board and your wondering if you should try to make him fold at all. a player like this isnt folding anything. value bet the sh*t out of him. just make hands and bet pot. print money. ez. jcp182000 0
Thanks guys. It is stupid of me to try to move somebody off of a drawing hand when I'm a significant favorite. I'm just learning though. Will post more hands and looking forward to feedback.
