ok so I marked all as read and the mobile app is actually pretty decent. only problem is, and it's the same on the full page when using a mobile device, that I can't seem to get any sort of text options like italics or anything. and that's great for everybody that has to read akoff's posts but that's about the only positive.

The board seems to be running pretty smooth lately, and I really like how posting works after this upgrade. It's very smooth.

Does appear that longer threads are loading more slowly though.

Yeah, it sort of seems like there's a decent bit of lag in some threads.

Forum is going to be a bit slower than usual the next couple of days as we run a script in the background. FYI - We doubled the RAM to 16GB on Sunday.

I'll refrain from making jokes about clicking now and coming back tomorrow to read the sick thread (oops!) but will this script speed things up once it is done? Big threads still take ages to load, and searching is almost pointless...

Seems like older posts are all scrunched together now. Is that something that will eventually be fixed?

This is a quick note that we've had a technical problem with a script to fix old formatting issues. We've been running the script for over a week and as a result some posts have had additional formatting stripped out of them, mostly removing line breaks. We restored our server back to Tuesday to see if the most recent posts would revert back to normal, however that didn't work for us. We would have to restore to an even earlier date that would result in too many lost posts to make it worth while.

We will explore other options to see about reverting the changes back, if possible.

Thanks

Bob

This is the best thing ever, I don't know how I missed it the first go-round. Or the 4th.

*Edit* And now that I see that I commented on it the first go-round, it occurs to me that maybe I should consider quitting the sauce, since I good and truly don't remember ever reading a word of this in my life.
