jinetakosa 0
Can a good poker player tell me what strategy I need to play against a bully poker player in a tourney when they begin to always raise pre-flop in order to steal the blinds against a tight short-stacked player with poor starting hands? _____________________ كازينو
Vegas Knights 54
If it's just you and the bully and you're in the blind, raise them back with any hand better than Queen 8, then bet out the flop. If you lose the hand then you just have to wait until you get any decent hand in the future. If your stack is below average, also consider going all in against the bully the next time they raise your blind pre-flop (and it's just you and them) and you have a hand better than Queen 8. Better to go out that way than be blinded away.
kaipanoulias 0
The best strategy against a bully player, whether tournament or cash, is let them hang themselves with aggressive play. For example if they are raising every pot and prone to continue betting post flop, just call. This works especially well if you have position on them. Let them bet off their stack when you have a good hand. If they are stealing with trash raising will get you no where as they will simply fold trash, and call or raise premium hands. Don't go in weak hoping to push them off a hand or outplay them later. If you can wait, wait for premium hands and let them bet. As a short stack you can still wait, but open your range a little and shove A10o suit or better, or pairs 77 and up. Don't go in light, and let the bully value bet your hand for you.
