screech 0
Hand 1:Villian is 55/7/1.32 after 44 hands.Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is MP2 with [As], [Qd]. 3 folds.Flop: (5.50 SB) [8d], [Jh], [3c] (2 players)Hero bets, CO calls.Turn: (3.75 BB) [7s] (2 players)Hero checks, CO bets, Hero folds.I hate playing hands like this OOP. With no flush draws on the flop, and a straight coming in on the turn, is it bad to give up here?Final Pot: 4.75 BBHand 2:Villian is 30/10/0.62 after 30 hands.Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is UTG with [Ah], [4h]. econ_tim 0
Hand 1, is the villain a calling station? I would lead the turn. Checking the turn begs villain to bet here.Hand 2, I think there is little danger of getting raised on the turn, so betting seems best. You're going to call a bet anyway, your hand might be best, and the villain could fold.
GrinderMJ 0
I wuold ahve folded the aq on the turn as well, but in hand 2 what are you doing limping utg with a4 suited.
wrto4556 0
i would bet the turn in both of those hands.
pwoblo 0
I would check first hand and bet second hand. I think this would be a good thread for DN to hit.
wrto4556 0
instead of asking DN, how about we discuss it?why do you check?
screech 0
i would bet the turn in both of those hands. After reading the responses I realize that the second hand is a clear bet. Why do you bet the turn on the first hand? (I assume it's bet/fold) By appearing weak I guess we are simply surrendering a pot in which we have overcard outs and a small amount of fold equity.Do you think our opponent is folding here more than one in three times? How do you play the river if he calls?I like to bet the turn when there are obvious draws that don't come in, and then check/calling the river to induce a bluff. Am I missing out on too many opportunties when I just give up on hands with no draws present?
wrto4556 0
alot of people peel on the flop with garbage just to see the turn. We might have the best hand and he may have peeled and picked up an open ender.i think its kind of close considering there isnt much we beat.i guess if he's just peeling he will probably check behind on the turn, but i dont think we really want that the times our hand is ahead.
