051103 0
I have been playing on pokerstars for a few years now and have been playing the 10+.80 double or nothing sng's. They start of with 10 people with 5 places making a 9.20 profit. They usually take about an hour or less. My question is that with a 200 dollar bankroll would playing these double or nothing tournaments be a wise investment for my time or should I playing HU matches instead since they generally dont take more then 30 minutes or so. Any other thoughts or strategy on consistently placing in these would be useful.
Chet Chetterson 0
There's a thread in the General Forum on Double or Nothings which will help you.I play these at the $1 level so I can reach my deposit bonus. As long as you understand the fundamentals on how these play differently than normal sngs you should be able to build a decent bankroll. I would suggest dropping to the 5 dollar level with only 200 starting, as I've experience some wild variance swings while playing, especially in turbos where more times everyone will be in pushbot mode when it gets to 6 remaining. My usual strategy in these sng's is very conservative til it gets down to 6-7 players. Which usually happens around the 30-40 time mark. I will probably move down to the 5+.10 double or nothin. I usually play 3 or 4 at once and never the turbos. Those seem to make holdem even more of a game of luck. My big thing I need to work on like a lot of people is bankroll management. GUGA KUERTEN 0
I suggest you to play de DoN turbo because the fee is the half and take less time and the players are pushing with anything.
