Oh yeah, I know. Of course if I had made your exact post I would come back to a 3000 word diatribe about how I'm an idiot.

I'm hoping she makes Bernie her VP and the indictment comes after the election

so, not random, not a billionaire. gotcha.

If we've learned anything in this thread, it's that Spade is either intellectually intimidated by Scram, or can be easily distracted by UFC talk.

Hahahaha.

The idea that I am intellectually intimidated by anyone is, genuinely, hilarious.

Thanks for that.

Frankie is not going to stand and box with him.

We've seen Frankie fight larger men when he was at lightweight.

Benson Henderson is also 5'9 with a 70" reach and he basically beat him at UFC 150. Maynard is about that size, so is BJ Penn.

The first time McGregor leaves the land of the dwarves he has no idea what to do. Edgar has been fighting at the UFC level against men of that size for going on 9 years, against top top competition.

McGregor is trash on the floor. There's a reason they've been keeping Edgar away from him. Too much jaw and wrestling. Seriously, I might take him at whatever.

Yeah, I think there is a distinct possibility Frankie basically ground works him the entire fight. However, bet-wise Conor still has a 4 inch reach on everyone you mentioned and his finish rate at 145 is much higher, so I personally wouldn't take that bet without odds. But, I don't think anything less is a suckers bet or anything, since we've just never seen Conor fight someone with Edgar's skill-set, and I'm skeptical Conor can do what he's done against the others against him.

I'm not convinced of this at all. I mean, we must have looked at that first round much differently. Conor was whooping Nate's ass in that first round. Diaz survived that first round, and hell, some of the second, because he's Diaz/Matt Brown level of resilient.

Unless what you're saying is that it wasn't Diaz particular toughness, but rather just bigger guys can take more damage period, and Conor would have trouble making those size guys crumble in general. I can see that still being a question, now that I think about it. I'd still want to see another fight or two against bigger guys though before I would say Conor has no idea what to do against bigger guys, though.

Scram isn't an idiot, he's a racist. Though the two are very highly correlated, they aren't the same thing.

More important - Scram and I don't go at each other on racism issues, and I'll let you in on the secret why:

He's white and racist and has slept with black women, and I'm not racist and mixed and have only slept with white women.

There is a delicate balance to the universe because of this.

Wow. You weren't joking. That was way better.

I think America is at the point where if that dude had made it to the stage and Donald swung at him and knocked him out, he would win the presidency in a landslide.

Scram might be a self loathing Jew and eugenics advocate, but he's also an atheist. Goes a long way with spade. Or rather, being a theist is a gigantic hindrance in him respecting your opinion.

Scram and I used to go at it, back in the FCP silver age, when he first appeared. I misjudged him as a run of the mill angry white racist, and thus an easy target for my faux sincerity trolling. He mistook me for being a Tim Wakefield-style true believer, rather than the cynical troll that i actually am, and we went a few rounds. I quickly realized he wasn't the conservative soft trolling target I was looking for, and backed off. As I recall, I won him over with a sickle cell joke, about some racist animation cell he owned.

The only stuff I'm racist about is the stuff that's funny because it's true. Other than that I'm not racist at all.

What are the odds that Trump is a subterfuge candidate? He was deep in with the Clinton's for a very long time there. Consider that his legal bodyman for years was Roy Cohn, who was once an integral part of engineering a split-vote among liberals in NY for the benefit of Reagan by means of a suitcase of cash...

These are the kinds of people we're dealing with here, so abandon any thought of them being otherwise unwitting when it comes to putting together an elaborate and cynical ruse to win office. This shit has been going forever and ever and key players in this election have had awfully close proximity to that kind of shit (and each other)

I seriously don't think he can win a general election if he's nominated and if he wasn't nominated, he would've claimed that he was 'disrespected' and ran 3rd party, taking his rabid followers right from the pockets of the Republican party thus guaranteeing a Hillary Clinton win.

I could've voted for Kasich, O'Malley or Rand Paul.

Diaz is tough, but we have to contextualize McGregor's performance at 170 against his performances at 145.

At 145, he knocked out Jose Aldo in seconds. Now granted, he took a dive and it was a complete fix but if we allow for a second that it wasn't, that is an astonishing continuance of a distinct performance aesthetic that he put up against every opponent in his UFC career, save for Max Holloway.

It culminated in the instant destruction of a guy (Aldo) who hadn't lost in 10 years and defended a championship belt for about 7?

The McGregor hype was warranted. He earned it.

Now yes, he was mostly beating Nate Diaz in R1 but wasn't nearly as dominant. How much of the dominance drop-off can we can attribute to Diaz's retard-toughness versus McGregors 'precision' style not translating to 170 is debatable, but you don't do what McGregor did in the UFC at 145, only to lose to Nate Diaz at 170, and have size not be the prevailing factor there.

What are the odds that Trump is a subterfuge candidate?

I considered this for awhile. Especially for a spell there where Trump was getting more and more absurd, seeming like he was just straight up taunting the sheep and trying to sabotage his nomination, "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose voters".

But at this point, he's going so far with the violence baiting and shit that it seems like he can't be doing it on purpose. I mean, it's one thing to troll and stir things up, it's another to have people across the world comparing you, non-hyperbolicly, to Hitler and Mussolini.

Of course, then I see him doing shit like bringing "Trump steaks" up on a stage, that literally were still in the packages of another, non-affiliated steak company:

TrumpSteaks-GettyImages-514433590.jpg

... fucking Bush Brother's steaks - fucking called BUSH BROTHER'S - and telling the media to "check into all of this"... and the media does and see's the water and the magazine and the steaks are all varying levels of bullshit - and one has to wonder.

In the end, no, I don't think so. But still - is sure does seem like he's trying to be obvious about trolling sometimes.

but you don't do what McGregor did in the UFC at 145, only to lose to Nate Diaz at 170, and have size not be the prevailing factor there.

I don't disagree with anything else you've said, I just need to see him against someone bigger other than Nate for me to feel certain about this. For example, RDA crumbled Cerrone, who is about Nate's size, but couldn't put Diaz away, because Diaz.

But in the end, the bigger guy beat him the one time he fought the bigger guy, so I definitely won't argue too hard against the idea that the size was the overwhelming factor.

I'm going to joke about this but I don't see any way that there isn't real violence coming

Trump is blaming Sanders supporters for the violence at his rally because you can't truly be Hitler until you blame a Jew for your problems.
