  1. To begin with, I have never played a tourney with a buy-in of more than $50. I think I do call here, The blinds are small and you still have a comfortable stack if you fold but I do not think this player has a set. The over bet seems to me the he limped in EP with AJ and wants to take the hand down on the flop. There is only one card in the playing zone, so the only hands that I would fear are sets. I think that your agrresive play earlier makes the correct play to be a call. I would call here, but another factor leading to my call is the number of donks that play tournies with $20-50 buy-ins.
  2. Not a huge fan of the raise with KJ because of exactly this reason. As to whether I call, I would go by my read of the table. If I know that players will be playing tight and try to fold their way into better payouts I might fold and look to chip away. If I think that this will not be the case and the FT is minutes away from a crapshoot I may call. The prize structure would probably also affect my decision
  3. Limping with AJs in MP after an UTG limper is a bad play. This is still relatively early in the tournament and you do not need to play this hand. You are in decent chip position relative to the blinds. I prefer to have a real tight image early in tournaments so that people might give me more credit later on when I try to steal some pots. As played, you could just call the river. Villian may have A10 or AJ but it does look like he limped with a K10s.
  4. You said you bet 250 to find out where you were and you did. You found that after a shortstack all-in, two others moved all-in.This means you are severely behind at least one of the people and the other players may be stealing your redraw outs.Fold the flop.

UTG calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, 3 folds, UTG 3-bets, Hero calls.Flop: (7.40 SB) Ac, 2c, As: (2 players)Donkey Villian bets, Hero calls.Turn: (5.20 BB) Tc: (2 players)Donkey Villian bets, Hero raises?Donkey has been limping with lots of cute hands (low connectors, suited one gappers, small pocket pair) but this is the first time he has limped UTG and then re-raised.I have been very aggressive, winning lots of pots and getting paid off on my big hands. I decided to raise the turn because I thin
  6. Four people left in a 10 man SnG. Sorry but I lost the HH.Blinds 200/400One big Stack with approximately 14.4K (In the small blind) Smart, solid player, Has been extremely aggressive and picking up blinds. One Extremely Shortstack with only 250 left after posting a T400 BB.Hero under the gun with 1900 with A9 heartsOther Player has around 2100 on button. The (very) shortstack player was playing super tight, waiting for someone else to be eliminated in order to make the money. Taking Absolutely no chances!! He folded his T400 BB last orbit having only 800 behind ( was g
  7. Ever since Party changed its tourny and SnG structures, I have been keeping track of my SnG results. I would appreciate all comments.I only have played 28 SnG's so far (I know it is not the best sample size)....These are all $22 and 33 buy-ins29% are $22 buy-ins71% are $33 buy-ins57% ITM8 first places6 second places2 third places253% ROIFor my own records, what other statistics should I keep?Should I keep separate statistics for my 20 and 30 man SnG's? Or for $22 or $33 buy-ins?
  8. I min-re-raised to isolate. He had KK and I flopped a J and two clubs but no other help.
  9. This hand was at a live casino, 100 Max buy-in NLHE with $1/2 blindsI had around $268 at the start of the hand.I opened the pot from MP1 for $10 (standard raise at the table) with the AcJc.I had a very tight image, showing only and AK and KK after raising.I get called by MP2 and MP3.MP2 was an older, conservative guy (wouldnt re-raise preflop with QQ) But also would call raises with "cute" hands (Q10s, 78o, J9s, etc.)MP3 was a weak tight player. The Idiot in the CO moves in for $36 total. In a previous hand, the idiot had called a $7 raise from MP1, there were 4 other callers and i re-raised to
  10. There is more deception in betting that flop then checking it. Your opponents expect you to check that flop if you have a king. Also, I would call this everytime in a $5 MTT. You will be way ahead almost everytime.I doubt Nielson has anything because he vastly overbet the pot and wants you two to fold. Again, call.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is Button with Jh, Qc. 3 folds, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero calls.Flop: (8 SB) Qh, Ts, Jd: (2 players)SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero calls.Turn: (8 BB) 5d: (2 players)SB bets, Hero calls.River: (10 BB) 3d: (2 players)Final Pot: 10 BBSmall Blind is a very solid player. I have been very active, raising very frequently from CO and button when folded to. My question here is whether I played the turn too passive. Small blind could have anything from the nuts to a set. It is possible that Small blind h
  12. Yeah, really WTF are you doing here? The UTG's weaker bet on the turn makes me think that he may have KK or QQ so you may be able to take away the hand on the turn with a larger raise, but I don't like just calling down all the way.The only hand that I think you can beat (besides a bluff) would be pocket 10s, with the 10d.I would have put in a raise on the flop or turn or otherwise have ditched the hand on the flop. I think the villian can fold QQ or KK on the turn.
  13. In the new Party SnG's, I have found that donkeys like to bluff even more than before because it appears that they are starting with so many more chips compared to the blinds. The propensity to bluff for idiots is higher now...I have yet to play a MTT with the new structure but was wondering how people think that the new structure will affect play.
  14. The 25th Hour...a Spike Lee joint
  15. I currently play on Party Poker and have been having a lot of success lately with MTTs. I generally play MTTs with buy-ins from $10-$30 and have been dong extremely as of late.I am interested in "satelliting" (verb?) into some of the larger buy-in ($250+) tourneys on Party. What is the best way to do this?I see that they offer both SnGs and MTTs. I have never played a SnG with a buy-in larger than $20 and was wondering if the play is any different as the buy-ins to the SnGs increase? At what level is the play alot different than the lower buy-ins?Also, if you are successful in satelliting nto
