Don't Vote For Obama Or Mccain...

Recommended Posts

I think the American people should boycott this election. You only have a choice between two Christians, and we all know the pain Christians have caused to this planet.- The Crusades:Over a couple of hundred years mostly European Christian crusaders tried to occupy and convert by force different parts of the world, mostly around this days Israel. Countless lives were lost in the name of God.- Hitler and Nazi Germany:Hitler and Nazi Germans were Christians. Millions of people died by direct or indirect actions caused by them. - George W Bush:President Bush is a devout Christian and is indirectly responsible for hundreds of thousands of dead in Iraq.- The IRA:The IRA was a Christian armed group by many labeled as terrorists responsible for almost 2000 deaths.- Timothy McVeigh:The Oklahoma Bomber was raised a Christian and has 168 lives on his conscious. This is just a short list. Too bad Obama isn't a Muslim, they're not as violent as Christians. The best would be an Atheist, you know any violent atheists?

Yes, actually....not saying I wouldn't want an Atheist president, just saying your entire is a bit flawed. There's violent atheists, agnostics, christians, and Buddhists even, it just seems to me that an Atheist or Agnostic might be a bit more open minded and rational than a hardcore religious president, but that doesn't mean he won't be violent or a crazy ass dictator.

Mao, Stalin. You are misinformed, sir. For one, Hitler was not a christian.
Quote from Hitler: "As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice."And Mao and Stalin thought themselves Gods... :club:

You forget that the vast, and I do mean vast, majority of "religious" people lead an atheistic life. Meaning they pay attention to the concept of a "God" for 1/1000 of their lives. Mainly around times like weddings, funerals, births, or great personal strife where the mind seeks an answer, even if it's imaginary. As far as I'm concerned, McCain and Obama qualify as functional atheists. I wouldn't make my decision based on their nominal affiliations. As the centuries progress, man will intellectually evolve to atheism, as the psychological function of a God becomes vestigial. But it will take several thousand years. We learn from our mistakes at a glacial pace, but it does happen. The folly of religion will one day be observable only in paleontological textbooks, and their readers will simply shake their heads in bemusement and wonder how we survived at all.

Quote from Hitler: "As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice."
A couple more quotes from Hitler:"There is something very unhealthy about Christianity.""The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity.""Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure.""The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death. When understanding of the universe has become widespread, Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity."
And Mao and Stalin thought themselves Gods... :club:
That is a weak argument. Ofcourse, in a way they though of themselves as gods, because they had power over millions of people. But virtually everyone who has some knowledge in this area will tell you that Mao and Stalin were atheists.I'm not saying that atheism causes violence, nor do I say that christians are never violent. I'm saying that human beings are violent, nomatter what they believe. Religion for some, is a tool to become powerful.

Well I wasn't serious at all with my first post and I basically put 2 min into research/thinking about it.What I really think is scary is that some American people think Obama is a Muslim. I even read a CNN article where people had said he was an Arab at a McCain meeting. I thought it was strong of McCain to forcefully deny that but I'm perplexed as to how ignorant people can be in a country such as the US.

Yeah. Americans have cornered the Market on Ignorance. This American has been to Sweden and been on trains or any number of other places and seen the drunken morons that would fit in just fine at a Philadelphia Eagles game or any other sporting event worldwide that features their peers. I've seen Swedes (and Swiss, Koreans, Auzzies, Scots, Dutch, Canadians, etc...) act in an ignorant manner - but I don't go making statements that lump them each into a category of Ignorance.

Trust me, I did not in any way mean to group ALL americans under the "ignorant" flag. That's why I intentionally put down "some". I know that the vast majority are sensible people.I was just amazed to read a CNN article about people at McCain rallies calling out Obama as a "muslim", "terrorits" and "arab". Also, someone had openly called out "kill him". I can say for sure that something even close to that has never happened in Sweden. Those that are stupid enough in Sweden to do such a thing would luckily not go to a political meeting.

Remind me how muslim's aren't as violent as christians again?
There are violent people on both "sides". I hope you realize that Muslims think Christians are as violent as Christians think Muslims. Invading Iraq and killing hundreds of thousands didn't make it better for either side.
