I'm currently a recreational Holdem player looking for some reading material to take my game to the next level. Id like some books on poker strategy, Poker math, and relative poker material to help me. The Poker Blueprint - Tri Nguyen has been reccomended, any reviews on that? Thanks in Advance.

Obviously Doyle's Bible and the Harrington series if you are novice, but much of that strat is getting left in the dust by the new styles. Online sites are thought to be best to get better these days.

For a person with no knowledge of poker, or at the highest levels, Phil Hellmuth's Play Poker like the Pros is the best guide ever.

i have all the basic knowledge of the poker game but id like to do a little better at home cash games or when i go to the casino. Id like to know pot odds, fold equity, poker math/percentages, and advanced poker theory. ive heard that a lot of books are a little outdated so any newer books give the best results?

Math doesn't change with time, except the math of quantum infinity speculation...obv.Harrington on Hold Em for limit hold em is the best out there. The fact that Doyle, DN, Ivey etc are all pre-internet poker players who have thrived against the internet players shows that people skills>math odds.

I've read quite a bit and my favorite author is Mike Caro. My favorite book is Caro's most profitable hold em advice. F'n (Mad) Genius. If you want a good story read Matusow's autobiography. There's no strategy but good side book to read on his life story. I had a 10 minute conversation with him on the phone a while ago, hard to talk to but I guess I still like him, ha.

I just picked up, Analytical No Limit Hold'em by T. Bakker, was expecting more math. The specifics of a book arn't that important for me as long as it makes me think about my game more.
