I used to work for a luxury hotel and the things you learn when dealing with "A-holes" become valuable lessons. and the hospitality business(to which casinos belong) is the epitome of customer service hell. so if you're trying to avoid that, avoid hotels, especially luxury ones.

so i finally got around to playing online poker. i've always heard how bad players are online... i really cannot emphasize this enough... there is absolutely, positively no way that there exists worse poker players in the world than the 'donks' you'll find at the low-limit pot-limit omaha tables. no joke, i saw this guy call 70 bucks to catch a one outer and of course.... he caught it.

just a quick question... how long did it take you guys to clear the 100% bonus at these two sites playing low limit, 2-4 and below? how much were you playing, etc... thanks.

are you talking about padooka? It's a draw game played with four cards instead of five. Most people play it with three draws i believe. the object of the game is to get the lowest possible unsuited hand.

It's funny to see poker players who don't know how to shuffle a deck of cards. I guess some people really never have played in a casino. the standard shuffle is riffle riffle, strip riffle... every home game where i live has a professional dealer. if you play 5-10 and up or even 3-6 you might think about finding someone to deal. the tips are usually worth it for whoever does it.

i know this is a poker forum and all, but if you want to learn an easy count, purchase ''blackbelt in blackjack'' by arnold snyder. think about it this way, it's a +EV game that can earn you real comps, when your bankroll gets big enough of course 8) blackjack is a lot of fun and it's a hell of a lot easier to beat than poker, though it does require a bigger bankroll...

umm, i'm really not trying to be a dick here, but i mostly agree with jdr999... here's why.i don't remember exactly, but you said there were only a couple of limpers and no raise which means the pot couldn't have had more than 20 or so dollars in it. then in late position you make it 100 to go. if i had money on the table and so did you, i would call you too. it's almost obvious that you were trying to steal, a 40 dollar bet would have accomplished your goal. and if that dude was gonna call you, it would end up costing you a lot less. just because he is rich doesn't mean he's a total mo

I realize these 'Poker Pros" have to market ther egos, but gimme a break. To hear Daniel talk about the "amatuers" with such a condescending attitude makes me sick. Listening to Daniel complain about having to work his way through the crowd during a break and comparing it to Michale Jordan having to mingle with the fans during a game is hilarious. Daniel, there are about 20,000,000 players out there that play as well as you do. i know this post got a little off topic. some of you were talking about not having a life, etc. At least for me, when i was working, i would have done anything to not have to come to work the next day. now i realize that a lot of people do enjoy their jobs, but for the most part, i think it's safe to assume, most people dont. so i think it's important to decide why it is you play poker. I personally have little experience with online poker, about a week actually, but i have plenty of experience in cardrooms. and other than the few off-days, i have a blast everytime i'm in a cardroom, win
