Cheap Eats In Vegas

Recommended Posts

I'll be in Vegas next week and have only been once before. Where are some cheap places to grab a quick bite? I discovered some cheap options in O'Shea's last time. Any other recommendations?

I didn't stray off the strip last time and was suckered into spending more money at the restaurants than I wanted to. I'd rather not eat fast food exclusively for 4 days straight, but I'm also on a fairly tight budget.

If you go out to the Rio, Mah Jong is very good but reasonably priced Chinese/thai food/noodle soups. Where are you staying and where do you plan to be most often during your trip? Need those details to give you decent advice.also, check out cheapovegas.com

I'll be staying at the Venetian and will be playing the Deep Stack event on the 23rd. I'll be spending most of my time here and in the central strip area in general. I'll probably be hanging out at the Rio as well to check out the action. Thanks for the advice.

You won't find cheap eats at the venetian outside of the food court. The buffets at PH and the Sahara (for breakfast only) are pretty good although not that close to you.Canters' Deli across the street at TI is delicious and not too pricey. Burger Palace at the IP is ok. you are really in a bad part of the strip for cheap food sorry!

Ellis Island has a $6.99 steak dinner that includes salad, potato, veg, and a beer. It's not on the menu, you just ask for it.EI is about a block east of the Strip, behind Bally's.

Mmmmm, Noodles at the Venetian. It's not that much, I would eat there everyday.
This. I love the place. Only a few steps from the awesome Venetian poker room. I have had a few noodle dishes and dim sum and they were all really good. My favorite is XO Shrimp Lai Fen(yea I had to go look its name up just now). Big shrimp and chilli sauce with these stubby rice noodles. I think it was $16 and one of the most expensive things on the menu. Also In' N Out Burger is awesome at any price but the $6 for a Double Double combo is sick value. Lots of the run down joints have cheap eats to get you in. I just read the Sahara has brought back $1 BJ and have $1 hot dogs and beers to go with it. I like to eat at some of the high end restraunts in town but the Venetian noodle bar and In N out are always a must at least once per trip.

I will 2nd that Venetian noodle bar (while not super cheap) is fabulous. In N Out is the best fast food in the world.

I think I will try the noodle place by the Venetian poker room. Also, where is In-N-Out in relation to the Venetian? I've heard a lot of good things about this place from people I know on the west coast.

There is no In N out on the strip but there is one on Tropicana on the otherside of the Freeway that runs parallel with the strip.

Chipotle (sp?) somewhere around Harrahs by McDonalds. Cheap, good and plenty filling.Grand Lux in Venetian if you are dining with someone else. Get the fried chicken and feed 3 people with it.Subway is in O'Shea's I think.

Seconded on Chipotle, that was the best bargain meal we had in Vegas.

That isn't a bad idea re: taking the cereal with me.Part of the problem for me last time was that walking up and down the strip, I don't remember seeing too many fast food/cheap restaurants. I remember Fatburger and that's about it. Most of the cheaper food court type stuff is in the resorts themselves so I had a tough time finding things.

True, I heard they did bring back $1 BJ in the party pit. Problem is, blackjacks only pay 6:5 instead of 3:2, so if you're betting less than $5, you only get even money on blackjacks. If you were interested in a hooker sucking you off for $1, please disregard this post.

I guess my philosophy is, why go to Vegas and eat "McDonalds" three times a day, when you could come up with a plan to have a series of nice dinners?
