  1. I have to agree that calling is the right play. In teh situation where you only have 5 blinds left, all of the pot odds needs to be thrown out the window. If you just sit around and fold this hand, you're down to 6K to his ~75K. That would be a miracle comeback. You have to take a stand rather than let yourself get blinded to eternity. Now, let's say that you fold this hand and the push with your next and, no matter what it is, with the intention of stealing the blinds. remember that your opponent already has 1200 in from the big blind, so he only has to call 4800 for a pot of 7200. That's 3:2
  2. It's simple fellas... Between the two of 'em, they had knowledge of what 8 cards were, which leaves 44 unknown cards. The guy had three outs, which gives him a 3/44 ~ 7% chance to sucks out, and he managed to hit that card. Now, I don't care what abyone says, but that is a bad beat indeed. Anytime you are better than 90% and you lose on the river after all your chips are in, it;s a bad beat.
  3. I have to disagree as well... part of what makes poker the game that it is is the fact that people can make poor plays and still strike it rich. Take that element out of the game, and you are likely to scare off some of the porrer players that your bankroll depends on. Also, this is not basketball or football, and stronger players are not quarterbacks. No one should be protected from taking a hard beat. Imagine this... you hold AKs in first position and raise. You get 5 callers. Now, BB is holding 72o, but he makes the call because he isgetting 13:1 on his money and the flop hits A77, with a K
  4. The thing is, you have to remember that those are his personal thoughts. It's like an online diary, so there is no way anyone can get angry at him for posting how he feels about things there. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't want to write it as a result of getting flak. Personally, I would rather know how he really feels, so I don;t mind him making negative statements about tourney structures, etc. People have a right to dislike things, and if they aren't aloud to write that in their journal, then what good is a jounral???
