Ron_Mexico 4,219
Good me tonight. I will always take Cerrone. Scram hates him Lol at Nate Diaz calling out Cerrone fo being a company man. I think DW lets diaz bros fade off into obscurity. Is a contract for life or can they take fights in a few years? I guess its until they make the required amount of fights. Why not just take a fight, come in out of shape, miss weight and run for 3 rds. Wont white cut them? Probably not, out of spite. Just do that until contract is up or he cuts you
AmScray 355
I'm not betting on that fight but I would absolutely take Cerrone. You are correct, though, that I hate him more than any other fighter. There is absolutely nothing on earth that would make me any happier than to see Miller beat Cerrone in any fashion but preferably, via finish. But really, why risk it? I hope he doesn't go for the finish and just wrestle****s him to a boring loss. There is only one fighter for whom I am willing to accept a boring wrestle**** loss and that man is Donald Cerrone. The new TV loses its UFC cherry tonight.
AmScray 355
Lineker/Ozcelik is one helluva fight. Crazy, crazy display of chins here. FOTN for sure, likely FOTY candidate.
king_tanner 84
Cowboy baby. Give him all the bonuses
Ron_Mexico 4,219
Love the cowboy, right scram? Lineker can't fight too many fights like that. He took a TON of fights to the puss. Cerrone ko'd him twice in that fight. Definitely wasn't low What was up with Dunham? That seemed grazing at best. Caught his solar plexus or something?
king_tanner 84
Are we sure about that kick not being in the balls? It looked like before the foot got to the stomach it could have grazed the balls? I don't know, in the slow mo it looked like there could have possible been some ball grazing, but probably not
AmScray 355
100% not low. Once Miragliotta realized that he restarted the fight but honestly, once he realized it not a nut shot, it should've been considered a stoppage. That really blew an amazing opportunity to **** Cerrone, if Miller had gone on to win. Cerrone not only would've lost but would've done so under conditions of serious injustice, which would've been so, so sweet but alas it wasn't meant to be. The good news is, this is where his skill level pegs out so hopefully he's 'earned' a fight with a top guy who he absolutely will not beat. Khabib would be beautiful. They should definitely make a rule that fighters have to signal low blows with more than just facial gestures. Raised fist in the air or something. If replay shows them clearly malingering, no doubt DFW would cut them first chance he got.

That was a perfect fight for Lineker because he likes to stand and bang which is what he is great at. Apparently he can't wrestle for shit (I've heard). So they can throw him in entertaining prelim fights but once the ufc decides he needs a shot he will get his ass owned since the top guys at 125 all can wrestle The guys in the proctor fight deserved a bonus
Ron_Mexico 4,219
I am so baffled by the a Cerrone hatred. All he does is put on entertaining fights, after he wins, he puts his head down and goes back to his corner, no histrionics, he rarely talks shit and he'll fight anyone. He'll fight Khabib when no one else wants to. If everyone was like him, there would be no bad pov purchase. But, to each his own, I suppose.
mrfritz 885
he's very entertaining and said he'd literally fight anyone, can't ask for much more than that. this was a fantastic free card.
king_tanner 84
Yeah I like Cowboy too. Watching his WEC fights are really what got me more interested in watching MMA. Win or lose always a good fight
Ron_Mexico 4,219
Maws so mad that I missed that epic fight between Henderson and Cerrone where Henderson seemed gumby-like and fended off all of those submissions Stupid cable company blacking out channels over user fees

Too bad he's kind of been boring as of late. The Cerrone Varner rivalry was great. I loved how Varner would play up the villain role almost like he was in the WWE. I miss WEC

There's no fight I'm looking forward to more than Khabib v Cerrone. I would buy that card if every other fight were women, just to watch that faggot get ragdolled for 3-5 rounds.

king_tanner 84
I would rather see Cerrone Diaz tbh. If Diaz gets offered a fight with Cerrone and Diaz declines they should really just give up on Diaz I'd be fine with Khabib also lol! 30 seconds after I posted I read that Khabib blew his knee out. Apparently Khabib blew it out 20 minutes after they made the fight with him and Cerrone. Sorry scram!
Ron_Mexico 4,219
I think White has already given up on them. He'll either keep offering them wrestlers, or he'll offer fights that will be slugfests and sellers. He may only be offering them fights to honor the contracts and so he can win if a court battle ensues.
AmScray 355
They're such ****ing idiots. I enjoy them as fighters but seriously, idiots. you're professional athletes with zero real world skills. Your peak earning years are high, crammed up front when you're young and then drop off to nothing (because I can't imagine a Diaz brother commentated fight). They got a few paydays, a few bonuses, probably bought a house, probably still have money in the bank but that's going to dry up. They need reasoned financial advice in their lives and understand that they have to make as much money as they can, now. Then when they're in their late 30's and on, they can smoke all the weed they want.
king_tanner 84
Spike is re-running the Bellator Ppv and the Chandler Brooks fight was really great. I hope they fight again
Ron_Mexico 4,219
The Diaz bros can do a sideshow fight for a big payday and fight each other. Nah, I don't think anybody would care. DW lit into their mgr on twitter, calling him an idiot and scumbag. Twas funny
king_tanner 84
On one hand when Dana goes off the deep end he spouts off invalid facts. His numbers about the ratings during Nate Diaz fights were wrong and he is not 1-3 in his last 4 fights, he has 2 wins and 2 losses. Dana also doesn't mention that his lowest rated fight was on a holiday and on the same night as a big boxing Ppv On the other hand you have Diaz's agent tweeting about the money figures that "aren't fair" and he is completely off with his numbers. So this is pretty much getting old.
AmScray 355
Reports are that McGregor/Brandao was one of the best events ever in terms of fan engagement, fights, etc? Apparently McGregor already agreed to fight Poirier next which is interesting. The McGregor hype train is at full ****ing steam but Poirier will be his first real test. If he aces that as effortlessly as he's aced the others, then it has interesting implications, that maybe he is a Chris Weidman type.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
He's European. Let's see him get in their with a Chad Mendes, wrestler type. That's when I'll buy the hype. I thInk they will protect him from that for a while.
king_tanner 84
I feel like him and Cub Swanson would be an amazing match up. Both fighters seem similar. I'm hoping Aldo isn't super injured and the fight with him and Mendes will still happen soon
Theraflu 1,035
I signed up for the fight pass free week trial and watched the fights Saturday afternoon. Decent card, but the crowd was really insane. Place was packed for the beginning of the prelims, and they didn't let up for 4 hours. Main event was over less than two hours after the start of the card though, which was weird. More quick fights than anticipated, I guess.
