i'll start. (and better qualified people can add to it)1. Thinking because more people are seeing the flop; therefore your implied odds are higher..and thus you should play hands like A-9 off. Some hands suck and some hands really suck more multiway.(ps..if that's not a fallacy, please slap me down..but I'm pretty sure it is, and it's used too often to justify playing hands too far or at all.)2.

6. raising the flop for a free card is usually good
Care to elaborate?
it usually doesnt work and you just pay more to see the turn.
time to resurrect clark's post on that, and Nate's overcard challenge maybe

Not w/ position in a short-handed pot against the right players.Poker and absolutes don't mix. (no pun intended, Absolute)edit: this isn't intended to be an addition to the list.

Really?  I've found that it usually does work.  At least on .5-1 party tables.  I'm about to move up to 1-2 so maybe I need to rethink that strategy...
Don't freak out too much. You just can't do it every time against any players. It still works under the right circumstances.

8. Thinking that since you put money/chips in the pot, putting more in is justified..."i might as well..already called $20, what's another $40"(not to be confused with...trying to win a BIG pot with a marginal hand, which is okee dokee sometimes)

Perhaps even worse is raising to get a free card and then not even taking it. Why pay 2 bets on the flop, and then put in another big bet on the turn when you miss. You now have 8 or 9 outs with only one card to come, have worse pot odds, and are charging yourself extra to draw. I know fold equity shmold equity, come betting in position with an obvious flush draw makes me chuckle.
