  1. Nah it's all 'best of one' until the final where it's 'best of three'.
  2. There is a Canadian/UK book that's offering odds on this but I don't want to be called an idiot with a threat of a ban again just because I mentioned the name of the sportsbook. Instead I'll just put up a few screenshots instead. Outright odds, prices for match-ups and brackets as well.
  3. I've gone for:Lindgren < AntoniusWasicka > HansenMizrachi < BenyamineFerguson < BoothAntonius > WasickaBenyamine < BoothAntonius < Boothhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/ste...sup_bracket.gifThe favorites surely won't all win and I think this could be a wacky year. I'm not putting any money on it, mind you!
  4. What a hand to lose! What a typical WPT hand that was! Unlucky, JC! JAYSUS!!
  5. I'd say one of the following:1. He's picking an 'upset special' (all the favorites probably won't win).2. He's being contrary3. He's being serious
  6. Yeah he did but if you're a trendspotter (JC Tran's got a weirdly good record in this event over the past few years), hindsight says JC Tran was improbably enough the one most likely.JC's heads up now with Eric Hershler and he's behind by 1.2 million (7.3m to 8.5 m). I didn't see that coming! "C'MON, JC TRAN! YOU CAN DO IT!"
  7. Hellmuth's contracted to do a made-for-TV poker event over in the United Kingdom and he's crushing it (4 out of 5 wins so far!) thus he's sticking around for the final.Ah feck it, I'll post the link: http://uk.pokernews.com/live-reporting/If he could have, one assumes Hellmuth would have loved to have had a third go at the Heads Up event.
  8. Apparently Doyle was in London for some $100k SNG along with Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth and a few others for a British bookmaker. Mike Sexton's in Los Angeles for the WPT event but his reasons for withdrawing are seemingly unknown (well I dunno why he hasn't bothered). If any bookies are going to bother covering this, unfortunately the odds will almost definitely be poor because they're scared. You can easily overestimate/underestimate somebody and some lucky mofo is going to hit a nice score because of that.
  9. If you're wondering, Phil Hellmuth is over in England along with Tony G and Kenna James playing a made-for-TV event called Premier League Poker.I'd post a link over to Poker News who are doing the live reporting but I don't wanna be accused of spamming again.Just seen the diamonds bracket. The producers may go for Don Cheadle versus Phil Ivey or Gabe Kaplan versus Todd Brunson instead (the celebrity vs poker superstar angle).Isabelle Mercier has the online qualiifer!? OOOH!
  10. Absolutely awesome so far by JC Tran but he is getting the vital luck so far. I think Jacobo could be the one to derail him though but "C'MON, JC TRAN! YOU CAN DO IT!".
  11. Well unless the diamond bracket can muster up something, it will be Daniel vs Mike at the TV table. Could be ruthlessly entertaining. Could be a train wreck.
  12. I'm probably wrong here but isn't themainevent on about JC Alvarado not JC Tran? It's the 99 versus Ben Johnson's TT hand right?
  13. No point in discussing odds if you don't know which book they're at. I think they're the only book out there booking action. Sorry if you think I'm shilling or spamming.
  14. Today's the draw. The event starts on Friday and the final's on Sunday.
