  1. I second the idea about adding polos and/or button down shirts. The tee-shirts don't do it for me.
  2. I had a totally different impression on the OP's main point. I think he is recommending that people play shorthanded games. The OP never claimed he could beat a 10/20 ring game. With his admittidly weak math background, beating a full game would be fairly tough. It sounds like his poker skill is limited to making good reads/decisions in short handed play.
  3. Where is the search player link? I looked all over for it but had no success.
  4. Nice work...I looked for quite a while and didn't find anything.
  5. Wow, this book is hard to find. Has anybody had any luck finding this book for sale somewhere?
  6. In that .5/1 dollar game at paradise, there is no ante. So I've developed the habit of just calling with any starting hand, rather than raising, simply because a raise is so likely to only win the bring in. With this non-ante structure, do you still think a raise with jacks in the hole is a good play? For what it's worth, this guy started with 8-3-8, so he made two pair on fourth street. So I was playing from behind the whole way.
  7. Any comments on the following seven card stud hand? I'm learning the game and looking for comments on my play. Too aggressive on 4th street? Too weak on 7th st? Sorry about the formatting, but the conveter didn't work on Paradise's hand history.I'm pokerShirt...$0.50/$1 7-Card Stud -- No ante*** 3rd St ***Dealt to pokerShirt ( Jh, Jc ), [ 6s ]Dealt to OB0307 [ 3d ]Dealt to Gizmoe [ 7s ]Dealt to RAZORBACK 6 [ 8h ]Dealt to **triplej** [ 2h ]Dealt to cleaning [ 2s ]Dealt to Guy Low [ 2c ]Guy Low : Bring-in ($0.25)pokerShirt: Call ($0.25)OB0307 : Call ($0.25)Gizmoe : Fold RAZORBACK 6: Call
  8. What do you guys think of the structure on the .50/1 dollar games on party poker. I believe the ante is pretty high at .25, but it seems like the high antes make a lot of action/big pots. What do people like about the cheap ante structures?
  9. There is a helpful beginner's Omaha hi/lo article in the omaha section. http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...opic.php?t=3312In that post, he discusses how to read low hands by reading the cards as a five digit number that starts with the highest card So, given your example, 2,3,4,5,6 and a,3,4,6,7, you'd start with the high cards and see that 65432 is a lower five digit number than 7654a and thus is the winning low. As the previous poster said, you don't need to worry about all of the low cards if the highest card in one qualifying low hand is less than the higest card in the secon
  10. I guess everyone tried to reply at the same time...
  11. Hey Seli, I'm from Minneapolis. Here is the information you requested about the local club.a) The age limit at the card club is 18, so you're in luck.http://www.canterburypark.com/cardclub/cardclub.htmB) They have tournaments on wednesdays and sometimes on Sundays. The buy-ins are usually around 100-200 dollars. Arrive early if you plan on playing.c) Card room is smokefree, but if you like, they allow smoking at the bar. Overall the atmosphere is friendly, and the quality of play varies dramatically depending on the stakes. If you are interested in 2/4, and you go on a weekend, you'll
