  1. -Its another one of those continuation-bet-with-2nd-pair-runs-into-top-pair situations...crying call I guess, getting like 8 to 1
  2. Well when I say he "raged"...what he said was:"OMFG""I'm so pissed right now""Of course"...I'm guessing he meant to raise it to $1750.
  3. Did anyone else see Joe Hachem mis-click in the WCOOP main event?? Check this out!! Crazy!PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $5000+$200 Tournament, 100/200 Blinds (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comUTG (t39325)UTG+1 (t10021)MP1 (t8781)MP2 (t22890)MP3 (t32800)CO (t29025)Button (t26143)Joe Hachem (t34450)BB (t27530)Preflop:4 folds, MP3 raises to t600, 2 folds, Joe Hachem raises to t11750, 1 fold, MP3 raises to t32800 (All-In), 1 foldTotal pot: t23700...and Joe Hachem rages
  4. I dont think this is "set or fold" at all. In fact I think I may call here. The villain will shove with a lot of hands, including AK, AJ, a flush draw, etc...and with an un-eventful board like that, I can see how he may think he can steal the pot by shoving. Of couse sometimes you will run into a Q, but not enough to fold. Good call sir. Overcards are not that scary.
  5. I would just call and then shove any non 6, 8, or spade turn. Getting away from KK there would be tough.
  6. I think that may be the worst beat I have ever seen. My prayers are with you....that's if bad beats exist in draw poker...I'm not sure.
  7. I don't see much value at all in betting this river. You are basically bluffing, since you will only get called with a straight mostlikelI guess you might get called with 2 pair, or maybe top pair if the villain is a retard. It's close. I probably check the river, evern though a set is sooo sexy.
  8. Hey guysJust a general question here: (strictly tournament poker)When open raising, I have almost always raised to 3X the BB (if the BB is 20, I make it 60 to go)...and I will add an extra BB for every limper in front of me. 1. Does anyone change the size of their raises from different positions? (not talking about blinds). If so, then why? 2. Does anyone always raise to 4X or 5X? If so, then why? 3. How about re-raises? Any rules there? 4. Any differences between MTT or single table SNGs? *for simplicity, assume I have NO reads on anyone at my table. Comments appreciated.
  9. This shouldn't even be a question dude. You call. You have half your stack committed already...and you are ahead of most of his range (KQ, KJ, KT, 22+, etc)..the only hands that crush you that he may have 55, 77, QQ, KK, or AA.
  10. So I flop a flush, and it was obvious at least one of the villains had a big club. Did I protect my hand well enough? Should I have played it faster and tried to get heads up? Anyone play it different?? 11. Also...what you said here is true, but it is very 1st level type thinking. Instead of just considering what hand other players may have, you also need to consider what other players may put YOU on...and in this case, you should know that a thinking player will know that you probably didn't hit the flop either...and call you light.
  12. I agree that this flop probably didn't hit anyone.....but didn't you say that everyone had been playing tight? With his preflop raise, you can probably put him on a big ace or pair...and in my experience many players will call this type of bluff.
  13. I don't know...you guys are forgetting he is raising into the BB that is the chip leader...I think I would put his range about the same that a normal button raise is. Push or fold. Without reads, I would just fold.
  14. Raisy Daisy man!! Come on....its not even a question. You're gonna put him on a 46??
